Replacing Bratt for what? Another crazy laine thing? No thanks.

Grits is very good, but he has a big room for develope and grow. He is pretty offensive guy on adult level, needs to work more on the board battles, boards positioning, and ofcourse needs to be better positionally against cycling. His scoring upside is good, but he needs to be better passer. He is good passer, but I don`t think he is very good. May be good coach can fix this on NHL level. You know like Sharangovich - he is ok\good for his expirience, but he needs to make better passes. Gritsyuk looks like a better passer, but he is not on the top-3 ok level, may be top-6 ok level. Of course we need more agressive fast shoot first guys. He is some kind of Bratt(as i said before many times) with more shooting oriented game. He is good skater and driver. Some kind of Bratt 0.65 version. He needs more updates.
Talent is there, and he works pretty hard. He was better and better year after year. But you never know where his ceiling is. May be he can be on the Panarin level, but I`m not so bold to tellin that. And I would not be in a hurry to replace Bratt by him.

Realize it's a small sample size, but just in today's gold medal game he seemed more physically involved and more willing to get in spots to shoot the puck than Jesper has ever been.

And speaking of the gold medal game, while it would be very un-Blitzer/Harris-like, there may be no better coach in the world than Jukka Jalonen.

He is no where close as puck controller\passer\driver to Bratt for now. He is good, but not on the Bratt level now. And you must understand that I`m number one Arseniy`s supporter here. Did it before it became mainstream.

Jalonen is really successfull. But I think Dineen is a plan.

Sykora seems like a good comparable: an all-around pretty good player with no standout characteristics but does a lot of things well and fits in with better players.

Maybe not the ceiling some are hoping for with his jump in production this year, but still fantastic value out of a 5th round pick.

even playing an nhl game would be good value from a 5th rounder, but he looks like a home run pick for that spot

If you're putting Holtz and Gritzyuk into the lineup - as well as possibly Zetterlund, Clarke, Foote, Talvitie and any of the NCAA guys like Thompson or Moynihan - they are going to need slots to play - and not in the bottom of the lineup.

To do that some players are going to have to go. Smallish, one dimensional players who lose far more games than they win would likely be the first to go.

Jesper is not Patrick Kane.

It is very likely that most of those players don't find NHL careers, let alone top 6.

A ppg player does not lose games.

Most of the players you mentioned will never establish themselves in the NHL, and furthermore Bratt and Gritsyuk are the same height but Jesper has him by 20 lbs. If a GM trades the teams most talented winger because he’s afraid some JAGs need top six time to MAYBE flourish, he should be fired.

Holtz, Gritsyuk, and Bratt can coexist in the top-6 if everything goes as planned. Quite frankly, by the time Gritsyuk comes over Bratt may even be elsewhere if they can’t resign him. But to say that we need spots for Foote, Moynihan, and Talvitie? Come on. Even Clarke hasn’t shown enough to be in consideration for a future top-6 role outside of his shot and ability to get shots off. Zetterlund/Thompson are great bottom-6 candidates.

Yikes. Banking on any of them to have the career Bratt has already has is quite foolish.

What an asinine response. So the Devils aren't near a playoff spot let's get rid one of the three forwards we have that actually produce at a top 6 level and bet on guys who most likely won't even have a NHL career.

And what an absurd take on that post.

The fact that both Bratt and Hughes are scoring consistently yet the team consistently loses is an indication that there is more to winning hockey games than points.

The NHL has had plenty of players capable of putting up points that spent their entire careers on second tier clubs.

News flash... teams don't win if they can't score and you're advocating getting rid of a guy who has scored at a very high level this year in favor of guys who have played a handful of NHL games, if that.
