Thinking outside the box but how would Giordano look in the Kings?
Vocal, tough little mf.. who brings leadership qualities and could probably still bring something on the PP..
We could probably ship off Maatta in a deal.
Giordano + 5th
For
Maatta + Madden + Tkachev??
I think that would be a good problem to try and figure out at that point"He’s signed for three more years at a very reasonable $4.6 million AAV" - Copy and Pasted
Question on this though, in 3 years, the contract renewal on this guy could be higher than Doughty. Does a team want 20-25 million between two back end players?

Not being contenders is correct but bringing in someone vocal with leadership skills is key to developing whatever young players are on the roster after the TDL. Even if it is just one season, unless you think continuing to expose them to silent leaders is enough? Why? LA is not going to be competitive while Gio is still playing
Pasadena! What would you all do if Chychrun was offered for Byfield, straight up? Pull the trigger, or pass?
People are still struggling to find a way to win something with Kopitar and Doughty on the roster. I can assure all of you, the Kings aren't winning jack with Kopitar in his current role and on his current contract, and likely won't if he remains on the roster beyond that time. There is no realistic deal for Chychryn that wouldn't be a mistake for Los Angeles.
This team isn't going anywhere until it allows itself to bottom out and change focus from trying to compete now under lackluster vets - and fail - to embracing a new positive direction and attitude that comes from giving youthful enthusiasm and hunger. Adding Chychryn now at such a heavy cost would only increase the problems plaguing the organization. He would be neutered just like everybody else while management strangles the creativity of younger skilled players to try and eek out wins.
The current path here isn't about growth, it's about maintaining a long dead legacy of success. Adding Chychryn would be counterproductive. It would only serve to mask the real issues and delay what must be done.
RIP Ontario's D, and have to think someone else went down to injury or protocol, no?
All that poor asset management coming back to bite eh
one million forwards at camp and not enough dmen, great stuff

Apologies if this has already been posted. Great article about Kings and Chychrum.

The Kings have too many prospects and not enough spots. He is exactly who they should target. Byfield should not be on the table tho. This is just the regular fanboy fiction
Yes, every team would have good use for Chyrum, but do we need him so bad that we destroy our future
just to have him?
We are already 6th in the NHL in goals against, there is not too much room for improvement.
What we really need is reliable offense to get back in the game.
Chyrum would cost exactly what we have in development to fill this role to barely upgrade a position of no need.
Thank goodness this is just fantasy rumbling

You think these guys get a chance to play or just there as insurance and healthy scratched?
VilardiI would only consider the Jakob Chychrun trade if the Kings don’t include Byfield, Kayilev, Turcotte or Clarke. Anyone else AZ can have.
