Honestly f*** that too, the amount of shit Kempe gets for being the final first round pick is insane. Sure he's inconsistent but what King isn't? Dudes stepped up at points every year yet people shit on him. So annoying, he's also the only one who f***ing shows some bite on this bullshit ass team. I just watched the Doughty knee and Kempe was the one doing the most.
Give the guy a f***ing A. I can't believe no one got buried from that Knee. God.
I've grown to really like Adrian despite his inconsistencies. He's done well as a last pick from the first round. And he's shown no sign of regressing so despite his inconsistencies when Kempe shoots I know it's a good shot, when Kempe has the puck I know he's going to try to do something.
I'm not a Kempe homer by any means, but why should guys like him who produce, and show care for his fellow team mate not have an A? What have Kopitar and Brown done this season besides being semi productive, and nothing else.
If you want to change the culture of the team., you reward players like Lemieux, Kempe, and Roy. Whoever else who plays well and shows they give a f***. You don't just give accolades for tenure as hard as it is not to. You instill in your younger players that being tough and getting into faces is rewarded and they will do it to get on the good side of the brass. I guarantee it.
When Reaves was in Vegas, all Vegas players played like
because Reaves would get preferential treatment when they were losing. How many times would Reaves be out on the ice in the last few minutes to send a message?so often. What do you think the other players got from that? That the coach likes it, and this is what the team is about.
I'm not talking about meat heads need to fill this roster, no.
Players who play hard and well should be however. Players who stand up for one another should be rewarded so the other players can try to follow in their footsteps.
Kopitar is soft as shit. Brown aside from the rare big hit is pretty f***ing soft too. You never see him saying anything in skirmishes at all, rarely involved in them.
