Edler injury last night looked awful. That ankle got twisted up really bad. He's not coming back for a long time, and they will need a much more experienced Dman back there.

Madden and a 3rd for Soucy would be good value especially at his salary and the toughness he brings
Is Soucy available? I’d do that deal in a heartbeat. I’d even trade a second instead of the third. Soucy is quietly a gooood player.

Sens put Del Zotto on waivers. What about him? Dude is pretty jacked, not overly physical but great shape and popular team guy.

Wolanin? Lol. Strand over him.
we dont have the cap space, well i dont think haha ..

Who're the semi-realistic pipe dream scenario players to add on our back end?

Sergachev obviously but who else? Chychrun, Cernak, Romanov, Dunn?

I don't see any reason why Colorado would want to move Byram to LA unless it's for Turcotte ++

Ben Chiarot? 30 yrs old LHD 6'3" 230 lbs. 3.5 million cap.

Would rather use the 1st + prospect to get a Provorov type
Edit: that’s the cost of Chiarot
Ivan Provorov makes me moist.

If Philly decides to blow it up and trade Giroux, and for whatever reason a 24 year old top pairing LHD in Provorov I'd be all over that.

Oxymoron if I’ve ever seen one. That said, like I said earlier, if Carson Soucy is available the Kings should be all over that.

I think he's a solid option; fairly young as well. Really depends on the cost. If it's outrageous I'd rather use those assets on a Sergachev.

Chychrun is THE player we should be after if he becomes available. We have the assets and the dude is signed to an amazing contract 4.6mil for 3 more years… LHD, young, big, solid both ways and has the physicality our D is missing…
Man if they landed Chychrun and Byfield comes on the scene playing up to his potential it would take this team to the next level. Should try to get Crouse also while they are at it.

I have been a defender of the kings when people question how soft this team is however this weekend was pretty evident. When what's his nuts from the Stars kneed Doughty I was in the camp that LA could not get payback that game as he got ejected. I thought the payback would come the next meeting. Nothing.
Than Edler injured on a questionable hit...not push back there either. And the guy was not ejected.

On a side note on the broadcasts. Watched the Canucks Hurricanes last night via the Canucks broadcast. In the intermission they had an advance stats guy breaking down the team before and after the coaching change. Was a really good segment. We got Erin Andrews clothing line by contrast.

Is it possible that our d men are getting injured because we have no enforcer? The other team doesn't think twice about hitting our d because there is no retribution. We really need a cop.

I am all for some tougher guys however Walker and Edler were both involved in plays where no penalties were called. I don't think having tough guy would have changed that much.

I thought McDavid's board was the dirtiest we've seen this year, not seeing a pattern really. Edler was mostly unfortunate at least, just caught his skate. D tend to get hit more due to the nature of their position. I'm all for getting a tough D, though. Just because nothing really has happened so far doesn't mean it wont in the future. Some for protection, but more to make the middle of our ice a tough zone to go to.

No I don't think so, I am disappointed there was no push back on the Edler hit by someone
