Frozen Fury in Utah is just embarrassing. Might as well plan an orgy at a convent.
Yep. I am sure AEG owns the building or something and it is probably their attempt to attract an NHL team, but the person who chose SLC should be fired.
FF in Utah is the equivalent of Spring Break in the North Pole

Edit- I did look and AEG does not iwn the building. it is where the Jazz play. Maybe they are making a play for a future team

Hey, if you're overweight and love sitting in front of a slot machine, Salt Lake won't be your cup of tea. But, if you like to ski, hike, snow shoe, x-country ski, fish, bike or any other outdoor activity that our bodies were meant for, the place is paradise.
If you find a good place to ski in October, I’m all ears.

Otherwise, SLC is gonna fall way short of the boats ‘n hoes vibe that has endeared frozen fury so much to so many of us.

364 days a year my body is an outdoors machine

for frozen fury i want to drink a 128 oz frozen bullshit margarita in front of a slot machine and heckle avs fans in the tunnel of doom

It doesn't seem like you understand the purpose of Frozen Fury.

Ah yes, a smoke filled room full of drunks and people trying to separate you from your money or the clean outdoors with exercise and the beauty of nature. Quite an easy choice actually.

The Abe Simpson vibe from this post is strong

Dude you are acting like this is a daily occurrence. It is one weekend a year .

I am an outdoors person myself and I am totally fine with the balance of 362 days a a year of nature and 3 days of hedonism

I mentioned going to the Vegas game with a buddy, but realized later that LA would probably send most of the "A" team to SLC and a "B" team to Vegas. Although a prospect heavy lineup might be fun to watch for preseason.

Anyone else think we're going to see a Johansen for Jones type of trade in the next 1-2 years?

I'm thinking best-case scenario two of Turcotte, Kupari, and Vilardi pop off next season, but one of them gets dealt in a direct 1 for 1, or a deal with minor adds. I think Byfield is basically untouchable, but it does seem like they're keen on bridging the gap between Doughty and Clarke with a top pairing defenseman.

I know Chychrun's name has been thrown around, but it could also be a defenseman who hasn't hit their stride yet on a team that has depth on the backend. Would be interesting to see two players traded in that type of scenario, but definitely lots of risk.

Obviously a big package of futures is the more likely route, but I could see them doing the type of swap above to avoid losing those future draft picks.
