Maynard is one of my favorite people here. Funny AF , just the right amount of sarcasm and he makes an amazing beef pinwheel
Well I hear community centers, hospitals, schools, and places of worship sometimes offer free or low-cost counseling as well.

Tarasenko sounds like he has a chip on his shoulder (no pun intended). A guy who's got something to prove, and is due for another contract soon, is usually a guy that's gonna play his best hockey.

If he really is healthy like his camp claims, he'll be plenty productive wherever he goes.

Taresenko fits the FO plan for this off-season by acquiring two top 6 guys. Tarasenko as one and Arvidsson as the other if you want to classify him as a Top6 forward instead of a fringe guy.

I would hope Blake gets retained salary, picks or the Arizona (Ladd) special.

Undaunted…the street team pushes on. Throwing a party every time their hero is right, even partially.
You and the other street team members keep up the good work. I’m sure someday your guy will rise up and become relevant, maybe even recognized! Then all these years promoting him on the boards will be worth it.
they have to be friends with they guy... only way it makes any sense.

Ha ha. I've had arguments defending both Blake and Hoven this past week, neither of whom are people I like all that much. And now I find myself on the street team. What has become of me?

Me as well,I give credit when it's due.Back in the days Hoven and I didn't see eye to eye on twitter lol. When he is wrong I can give fair criticism. This hate and saltiness is just ridiculous now.

I’m pissed about the Ghostisbehre deal. Talk about an ideal fit and they’re paying you to take him! Blake better have a plan for an offensive defenseman or we are f***ed…

I don't get it. I'd take him for free without giving up those picks. Heard Kings were in on it for a bit, what were they doing - asking for a 1st with him?

Blake asleep at the wheel…Ghost would have been a nice fit next to Matt Roy.

i so not want a Defenceman that has bnever met his own goalie. Offence is good but not at the price of horrid Defence

If Tarasenko had much value, Seattle would have taken him and used him to trade now or at TDL. They easily could have retained too making it more enticing for a contender. StL will need to pony up in some way (retain or attaching a pick) to unload him this off-season.

Ron Francis hasn't shown he's that clever or creative so far.

He literally asked for more than what Arizona got for taking on Ghost's contract, leaving Philadelphia to tack on a second and 7th to Arizona.

That's fine if you're willing to trade the assets it will take to acquire a guy like that but Blake doesn't seem intent on moving a key piece. Ghost can run a PP, something no one on the Kings can do and he didn't cost anything but cap space.

he didn't cost anything but cap space.

This phrase keeps getting tossed out-there about various players and it's never true.

It costs playing time, a contract slot, flexibility with money and personnel, it changes the dynamic of a locker room... not saying that any of these things should dissuade the Kings from thinking about any specific player but it's never JUST cap space.

I suspect Blake is working with an internal budget. VT is going to make 9.5M this year. I could see that being an issue. And if STL retains, I think the Kings have to send STL picks/prospects which I doubt Blake wants to do.

But if we plan on running Anderson and Bjornfot out there on a nightly basis they will average 38 to 42 minutes a night leaving that 3rd guy playing close to 20. Ghost is almost as bad as BigMac in Defence and we can’t afford him. If we had 2 other left pairing guys playing close to 50 mins a night and you could hide Ghost and let him out on the PP and some offensive draws I would think about it.

I just don’t think this team is set up for a small defenseman that are a liability in their own end.

On the other end we have Quick making only 5.5 over the next two seasons so the salaries would balance out a bit. Would love Tank on this team

So we will have a small defense that isn't physical or great defensively and struggles to get out of their zone and they also can't run a PP. There's no direction or identity and its a joke at this point.

If the only issue is cap space and the cost to acquire isn't too high, adding Voracek and Tarasenko would be awesome. Then we trade Kempe for Morgan Reilly and sign Dougie Hamilton.

Arvidsson - Kopitar - Voracek
Iafallo - Byfield - Tarasenko
Andersson - Vilardi - Brown
Grundstrom - JAD - Moore

Reilly - Doughty
Anderson - Hamilton
Bjornfot - Roy

Why am I not GM?

Tarasenko requested a trade, not sure the Kings are on his list. Hope Blake is asking for assets for taking the contract, so Blues may not be happy either.

Hoping Blake can add a decent asset for picking up a bridge player or 2 to temporarily fill out the roster.

that would assuredly be way over the cap. Kings have 15 mill in cap space

I do not like your recommendations.
Morgan Reilly and Dougie Hamilton are not great, but they will get a lot of money.
Voracek and Tarasenko are also overpaid at this moment.
Salary for these 4 players will be about 35-38 millions.
Kings already have 20 million per year paid for Doughty and Kopitar...

Really not sure some posters were watching the same Lemieux I was. Yeah he's not a heavyweight, but this is a guy with NO hesitancy to drop the gloves. Punched Josh Manson--a huge kid--right out of the lineup simply for daring to push him for crashing the net, and was about to MURDER a 6'5" Ryan Graves after standing up for himself after a clean hit. I'd ice him 6 times if i could, especially with this team, a ferrari with a pinto engine.
