AA lead the team in 5v5 points/60 by a wide margin. Idk why we wouldn’t bring him back. At the end of the day we need more offense and that’s what he brings.

We have too many bottom 6 forwards, too many fringe defensemen, and too many prospects. Something's gotta give
Wagner and Lizotte are camp waiver fodder IMO.
Lemieux has to be an everyday with that soft D and forwards - so Wagner is probably a goner. Lizotte does nothing for me.
Lemieux has done nothing for me to be in any lineup everyday. Could he, sure, but he has to earn it.

It's got to be at the point now where the Kings are going to lose some bottom-level forwards via waivers or they'll clear and go to Ontario. Maybe they try to trade them instead like the Amadio deal but it's going to happen.
Hell, Frk passed through. Amadio passed through. If we think they are shit, the rest of the league probably does too.

Luc and Rob are a waste of time and money.
I think AA22 is arbitration eligible. So if he elects to go, he is still a wildcard for next camp. Seems like Blake wanted more time to work on a deal at the least and is looking to keep him at a max price.
I think that has nothing to do with Eichel. The more I think about it, the more it seems likely to me that his camp is pushing the narrative in the press. Adams probably feels he gets the most for Eichel if he plays healthy. With a deadline to move him when the NMC kicks in.
If Eichel is out due to injury or recovery, his return value is too low to pull the trigger. If Eichel sits out games, he’s painted a bigger malcontent than already, making teams averse to bringing him in.
I think there are 10 weeks till the start of camps around the league. Not a ton of time to get any clarity on if he’ll be ready for whatever team he’s on by them.

I agree AA being qualified as nothing to do with Eichel. Sounds like AA and Blake are close on an extension and this buys time.

We’ve had an over abundance of bottom six guys for like 5 years running
At this point I’d see it as Andersson gets like half a season to see what he’s got, same with Lemieux. Wagner, Lizotte and Grundstrom all fight for extra forward with probably Grundstrom winning and the others traded for scraps or wavier fodder.
What will make absolute chaos is if the sign a free agent and one or two of the kids make the team out of camp. Like they’re so impressive you can’t send them back down.
Then Blake might have to unload 3-4 players, which wouldn’t be much of a loss.

A few of those bottom 6 forwards could be dealt to teams that are up against the cap and need some cheap options to fill out their roster.

Pius had 13 ES goals. That's more than Kane and the same as Kubalik.
The most ES goals any King had this season was 10 (Kopitar & AA).
