This is the most Kings games I've missed my entire life as a fan and I don't feel bad about it. I catch like 30 minutes or 40 and just change the channel. Todd's still doing 1-3-1. Matta is still a king for some reason. Tkachev is not even getting a chance. This entire organization is extremely cancerous and pathetic.

I have no reason to watch the games. Our best prospects don't see ice time. Why the f*** would I tune in to watch Matta and Brown?

Pretty sure Blake is after a high profile player. Rumors on Pacioretty, Eichle, Laine, Dubois over the last few years. After repeated strikeouts & Blake getting more desperate does he overpay to get a gamechanger?

Because you can give away a 4 mil contract. Uncle Phil would show up the next day and ask what the F is going on, and why is he paying a guy that much on another team ?

Toughness, we’re as tough as wet toilet paper!
Our defense is vastly undersized and lacks anything that resembles strength..
We need a Cernak, Soucy type of big Dman.
We need a Turcotte and Byfield.. we need to quit rewarding players based in their past performances.. aka Brownie needs to go on LTIR for a paper cut or something

Who's gonna take his contract if he was waived? Nobody, then he goes where , back to the AHL to pay him 4 mil? That's not saving money at all . We all know he sucks , but we're stuck with him, and really Clague lost his job to Durzi.

Gaunce – Grans

Basically all prospects except Gaunce.

Phillips sucks and Gaunce is a seat filler. It's not a problem.

Ok. but the issue still remains, there are no spots on either rosters. Waive him, ok, no one claims , then what? You still have 2 dmen and one spot. What do you do with him then?

First off Chicago retained 750k of that salary. Also we are 25% the way through the season so you've got $2.4m to pay out. Nobody expected Maatta to be claimed on waivers. That's not the point. How many games is he going to sit in the press box as the seventh defenseman for the rest of the season? How is that worth 2.4 million? But it's more palatable for him to be on the roster? That money was wasted last season and is wasted this season. All he served as was a roadblock to preventing a better player from taking his spot. Purely based on his contract. Now on top of that Blake gave away a player who outperformed him easily. It's compounding a mistake that he made, not fixing it.

For a guy doing a lot of complaining about complaining, you're not paying much attention to the detailed reasoning.

You guys are trying to make this difficult when it's the easiest thing possible. I don't know if it's a defense of Blake's reasoning or what, but in fact the deeper you go, the dumber the move looks.

The thing I saw with Clague is he had a spot waiting for him opening night, and he never claimed it. To me he just never could take the next step.

Here's another thing, if Walker doesn't get hurt, are we all still freaking out at him being claimed? We'd be in the same spot. Too many players, not enough spots.

Habs had the same reactions from Poehling and Caufield when they were assigned to AHL level. Typical newer generation attitude.
