The argument that it was a numbers game to explain the loss of Clague for nothing is a weak one. His performance in 11 games was good enough for a waivers claim. And there was no prospect better who was going to supplant him this season.

If he had continued to perform you could have made a trade when a guy like Fabre or Clarke was available in 10 months from now.

He's also not Scandinavian, none of his family relations played with Blake in the past and he probably isn't very good a beach volleyball.

The Bjornfot - Anderson pairing held their own with Drew\Walker out.

Would it have been the end of the world to try:

Clague - Doughty
Bjornfot - Anderson
Edler - Durzi/Roy

With Roy penciled in for some of the heavier teams. He is clearly struggling this year and we need offense from the back end.

I guess the prospect bust counter has started according to Bluc.

1 Down.

According to a lot of people on here, we don't need an enforcer. We absolutely do.
Put me on a line with LT Dan and Raccoon Jesus and we'll be a force out there.

Olli maatta WAS on the pens with former Blake favorite Jussi Jokinen as well as Christian Errorhoff and Hagelin and is represented by JP Barry who has 5 players with the Kings, tied for his most in the league. Just in case you were curious of the nepotis errrrr connections

Matta has deadline trade written all over him.

It would have been nice getting something for Clague, but it wouldn't have been much. He's been improving and I would have liked to see what he will become, but he was a late-bloomer and ran out of runway I guess.

Players are usually offered around before they hit waivers, maybe there weren't any takers.

Durzi > Clague but I have no friggin clue why Blake doesn’t put Maatta on waivers. We aren’t resigning him anyways. Better asset management.
As much as he sucks donkey dick…
Maatta and Edler are the only Dmen with size on the Kings.. that’s the only damn reason I can think of

we really need to get Blake fired before he pulls a big trade

he has the assets, he thinks we will sneak in 8th, the season is not lost yet, he thinks, and therefore he WILL pull the trigger

we didn't go through that 5 yr rough rebuild to lose our assets on a Jamie Benn type for example

and if there's a man out there that would definitely put himself before a team, it's ROB BLAKE

that's his DNA, that's why many of us didn't want him, we knew how he played us when he left for San Jose, he will pull a shit move to save his job

FIRE BLAKE!
