Is it time???.... I mean 2 goals in 15 games for a top line winger who plays the PP1 along side our best offensive player. Royal Caribbean sized anchor on a team that needs to score more than just 2 a night to win most games. Talking about no other than Dustin Brown. When are the coaches going to reduce his role and drop him down the lineup? A Moore Kupari Brown 3rd line would fit his role right now. Play his "physical" game and keep it simple.

Taking nothing away from his past accomplishments and cups etc.. but you got to think a top line winger to play alongside Kopi and Arvy is needed soon. Can Kempe\Arty step up there?

TMac reading my posts...lol

Honestly, with all the negativity; top line, abysmal PP, Brown's play...lack of finishers, no defensive scoring.

The reality is, there has been a higher level of talent coming in, all 28 or under and for not much cost in assets: Danault, Arvidsson, Lemieux, Andersson, Edler (if for 1 yr,fine)
All upgrades from the Amadios, Wagners, Luffs, Carters, MacDermids. Lizotte and Brown should be gone after this season.

and the best part is the youth, in which SEVERAL of: Byfield, Kaliyev, Kupari, Turcotte, Vilardi, Fagemo, Chromiak, Helenius, Thomas, Pinelli, Clarke, Faber, Spence, Grans, Kirsanov
will either make an impact or be traded for a missing piece or 2.

When Vegas has to make an upgrade, they deal a Suzuki (thankfully) or a Krebs and have nothing left. When it comes time for the Kings to make an upgrade, they have 10+ top
prospects and can afford to part with 2 in the right deal.

The only thing that can stop this, is if they do not cut some of these players loose to play - when they are ready to play. Most all of these are not 4th line players
and should not be 4th line players. Period. Maybe except for Helenius.

Talent should win out, here. With a little patience. Blake has not botched any deals and if he can maintain that, should be a bright future.
I'm going to enjoy the ride and ups and downs. It's mostly up from here.

There's no waiver system for being called up, only if they sent him back down.
That's news to me.

How long has it been that way?

I know it wasn't always that way. I remember way back in the day, I think Labarbera couldn't be called up because he'd have to pass through waivers and would've got claimed. I could be misremembering though.

No but according to you and @Axl Rhoadz nothing else mattered but winning. Well, we're not on a winning streak, so now what?

I'm being facetious, obviously--and you're illustrating you can understand how foolish that reasoning is to the big picture now that it's not convenient to your argument.

Now what? Probably the line up gets tinkered with based upon the practice info being posted. What'd you expect to happen?

And no, not really. I've said all along, we should be a playoff team or at least in contention right until the end. If we're not, TM's ass should be on the line, so should Blake's. And they should ice the best team. Not sure where you think one loss is inconvenient to that.

Yep. Re-entry waivers were canned in the 2013 CBA.

You have the persistence to be a good troll, but the talent just isn’t there. Maybe stay in the Reign thread until you figure things out? You’re just not ready and we don’t want to rush you.

Why are you sacrificing the Reign posters? They don't need this nonsense either? :-)

Another thing to look forward to is the 15 million coming off the books from Quick, Brown, and Maata. I really think/hope we take a run at Filip Forsberg in the off season.

It will be proven that Blake cannot develop talent. Mark my words. I will not eat crow.
They are marked.
I printed your post out, framed it, and hung it next to my Bat Boy painting on velvet.

I mean we say that, but let's be honest. We've hyped guys up before that haven't panned out like we thought. Bernier, Lewis, Hickey, Moller, Teubert, Loktionov, Deslauriers, Forbort, Pearson, Zykov, Kempe, Amadio, even guys like Clague, Grundstrom, and Durzi are right on the edge there. Hell, is Brayden Schenn - with one career year of 70 points and nothing else above 60 - the high end of Turcotte? Would that line up with our expectations?

With that said, nice to see Brown drop to the third line.

Kempe – Kopitar – Arvidsson
Iafallo – Danault – Athanasiou
Moore – Kupari – Brown
Lemieux – Lizotte – Kaliyev
Andersson, Grundstrom

Edler – Roy
Bjornfot – Anderson
Maatta – Clague
Strand

Quick / Petersen

Sure wouldn't mind Maatta and Strand swapping positions, but that top six is probably as good as we can roll out right now. You could make a case for one of Andersson, Grundstrom, or Kaliyev instead of Athanasiou, but I can't really complain. Hopefully they shake up the power play too.

2 dumb vikings and a smart slovene walk into a bar ... what happens next.. I feel sorry for Kopi pretty much his whole career (aside from time w JW, he's had to carry some stiffs)

So true. Gretzky played with Igor Liba, Dan Byslma and Bob Kudelski....but that was short lived, thankfully. They moved Nicholls, to get him Granato and Sandstrom.
By the time wingers Chromiak or Arty is peaking, Kopi will be that much slower.
