Not excited about Greiss but I can only hope his poor numbers reflect more the team that was in front of him than him…but it’s a pretty meh move IMO.

Maybe they can still get someone like Lindgren and then let them battle in camp. Then the loser supports Hofer in Springfield.

Its 4 years. If it starts with a $4 it will be awful in year 3 if not sooner. I'd rather have plugged Ian Cole in @ $3M, at least its only a year. Why sign Thomas for 8 years if we are going to surround him with a bunch of guys signed long term who are nearing a cliff they will drop off?

If Leddy plays through the contract at the level he did last year for us it’s not a big deal. But…small sample sizes and all. I feel like this is a “we need to do something at defense” move, not unlike the Krug signing
 
It's an extremely embarrassing thing for all Blues "reporters" that a 4 year Leddy deal has been reported for over half an hour and none of them can even squeeze the number out of the Blues. It's not really fair to call what hockey writers do "reporting."

I almost fell out of my chair when I heard that. Maybe Weekesy isn't as well informed as I thought. Seems like a cool guy though.
 
We still have around $2M maybe 3 (depending on who we have for our 4th line and depth and how much Griess costs) to sign a top 9 forward if we want. Do we make another signing? Anyone have any good names?
 
4x4 is good for Leddy.

Krug + Scandella and their 10M need to go now. Would be great if Armstrong could manage this before Perron signs somewhere, but I'm doubtful.

Thomas deserves more than Kyrou. I do not want Jordan Kyrou for more than what Thomas makes.

I figure guys like Lindgren, Joshua and MacEachern probably want to go sign with worse teams that have less competition for spots so they have a better chance of carving out an NHL career. Doesn't surprise me.

Armstrong confirmed he wants to find some guys for the 4th line so still moves to be made.

I like the Leddy deal. Was expecting $4.5 per but he was an absolute asset here in the playoffs. Gotta imagine we're going to move a defenseman.
