My thoughts are that we all better put some damn money down on this before the odds makers wake up!

Seriously. Time to take advantage. The odds makers have no idea how these teams will mesh, and throw in the fact the Americans have Spencer Knight and a lot of players that have a history playing together, makes this a worthwhile bet.

Sports interaction has the Americans at +463, and the Russians at +556! Ainec, thanks for the heads-up! Some seriously inflated odds!

They also have the Americans at +341 to beat Canada tomorrow! Crazy odds for a 50/50 game.

I feel that once again we will give handicap because of poor coaching. Too early to say but happens too often.

This friendly certainly isn't helping the USA odds. Only goal on 5v3, poor performance thus far.

Exhibition would and should never have any effect on the games that matter. That would be terrible odds making in any sport. NFL teams that do well in pre-season don’t get fat season odds for the super bowl.

To a certain extent I agree, but when one of the top teams is playing the bottom seeded team in the tourney, the overall play should not be this equal from a skill perspective, even in a friendly. Granted, US probably still dealing w/ jetlag as well as playing yesterday so hopefully they get their energy up for Canada.

Even this is only exhibition you would like to see more. There is guys fighting for spots after all.

I am banned on that site ($1 bet limits) :(

The 2013 gold medal team is still reeling over the exhibition beat down they suffered at the hands of Finland.

The 2017 gold medal team squeaked by Switzerland in an exhibition. If only they showed more....they may have won gold.

It's fine to wish they were showing up more today. But let's not act like it's some omen of things to come good or bad.

I suspect this is how it looks when the tournament starts because these are the returning skaters, but there’s a chance they switch one of the two assistants to captain. I’d be surprised if these aren’t the three who wear a letter though.

Edit: I forgot Wahlstrom as a returning skater. I still think this is how it’ll look.

USA will need to cut down on the lazy penalties if they want to have a chance. Works against Germany but won't work against better teams.

An obvious disparity in overall team skill, that was finally reflected on the scoresheet in the 3rd. Games like this have more of a scrimmage feel than a tournament game.

Don't think the cross-ice feed for the backdoor one-timer will be nearly as effective against serious opposition.
