Affordable contract that makes them better. After this weekend the Bruins may have just dropped to 3rd or 4th best team in the division. Montreal is bigger and tougher with skill on the wings in Toffoli and Anderson. This offseason just keeps getting worse by the day.

This is truly depressing. Watching other teams in the division signing multiple players, making trades, filling their needs while we sit back and wait. We were told changes coming this offseason, roster needs to be pushed.. All we do is let Krug walk and sign a third liner. Sadly I have a feeling there is dark years ahead for this organization

He's not an upgrade though.

I like how the bruins just have question marks on unproven lines where people say new product A is/not an upgrade over new product B.

I called it from the start. Our big move was letting Krug walk (probably Chara as well) and signing a third line center/winger who can move up and down the lineup for a few games.

So what has changed in the past few years? Secondary scoring is still abysmal.
Softer defence core.
Half our fans dislike our goalie situation.
Our 2015 round picks have pooped the bed (Debrusk excluded since he's putting up fair numbers).
We don't have shiny prospects.

I'm saying that he is not an upgrade on Smith who they just signed.

Be patient the season does not start tomorrow

I like Smith more than Toffoli, I was just thinking Toffoli could be better than Kase at RW for us.
I did put a post in the Smith thread showing that Kase is the better offensive player in the last 3 seasons. His issue is health.

Give me Mikael Granlund. He is due for a rebound and could be had for great value.

He reminds me a lot of Marcus Johansson in a way. He would be great on the half wall on PP1 to replace Krug's playmaking. He is elite at bringing the puck in the zone. He could play both wings in the middle six and brings a dynamic of high-end skill. He was on pace for 20 goals this year but couldn't seem to find the numbers in the assist department...

I feel like lots of people are shooting him down to being 5-10 but just an FYI he had more hits this year than the remaining two free agents (Dadonov and Hoffman) and only a few shy from Hall and Toffoli in less games.

Good deal by Habs

no room for Boston on RW

I’d like Hoffman or Dadonov

Bruins already at 17 F though

Where does he play ?

if Coyle not here yup I’m all in but no spot for Studnicka a center as is

Guys, if you're gonna lust after UFAs, at least know what position they play. Toffoli is a RW. Doesn't help the Bruins and after they signed Smith it was just not going to happen. I could see them going short money on Granlund.

Smith was their choice at RW, not Toffoli.

It should also be kind of telling that Toffoli only got $4.25m. Most teams aren’t looking to spend a lot of money this off season.

Bruins Twitter will be mourning with Toffoli gone.

We’ve been patient. For years. It’s not working.
Eric is right blame the players

7th game in Boston clearly better team and they waste glorious chances in first shooting into Binnington stomach

Marchand’s two huge gaffes game 2 & 7 on the second Blues goal each time

Pastrnak rumored drunk horsing around breaks hand and Is substandard in Playoffs last year

this year he’s skating with Kids with COVID and not following protocol

they roar to first overall and Rask leaves a team spits up furball

I’m a Bruins cheerleader and all but this is on the players they blew 2 Cups staring them in the face

not management
