Where does he play ?

if Coyle not here yup I’m all in but no spot for Studnicka a center as is

No reason for Studnicka to start in Providence as much as I think he belongs and deserves a spot. He would be first call-up for any top 9 center and top 6 forward injury and see more or less a half a season in doing so. My lines to start would be:

Marchand Bergeron Pastrnak
Granlund Krejci Kase
Debrusk Coyle Smith
Ritchie Kuraly Wanger
Lindholm & Senyshyn (extras)

Eric is right blame the players

7th game in Boston clearly better team and they waste glorious chances in first shooting into Binnington stomach

Marchand’s two huge gaffes game 2 & 7 on the second Blues goal each time

Pastrnak rumored drunk horsing around breaks hand and Is substandard in Playoffs last year

this year he’s skating with Kids with COVID and not following protocol

they roar to first overall and Rask leaves a team spits up furball

I’m a Bruins cheerleader and all but this is on the players they blew 2 Cups staring them in the face

not management

I like Smith more than Toffoli, I was just thinking Toffoli could be better than Kase at RW for us.

Toffoli would have been better than Kase, but the Bruins also had to use assets to get Kase, who's still fairly young and on a cheap contract. They need to see what they have there.

I think Smith and Toffoli are fairly comparable in terms of production. Smith averages .50 PPG and .25 GPG for his career while getting 3rd line minutes. Toffoli averages .57 PPG and .28 GPG while getting 2nd line minutes.

Would have been nice to have nabbed both, but one of them is fine. They still need to improve the middle 6 LW and top 4 LD.

Just gotta hope that kase find his game and pops 20 goals and nick Ritchie 15 . Also Smith his usual 21. Zboril acts like a big boy and plays 15 min game plus 15 with 30 points at end of season.

Affordable contract that makes them better. After this weekend the Bruins may have just dropped to 3rd or 4th best team in the division. Montreal is bigger and tougher with skill on the wings in Toffoli and Anderson. This offseason just keeps getting worse by the day.
I predict more Bruins doing "fly by's" and cowering to the mighty Habs. The tables have truly turned.

Also, interesting stat for Granlund is the guy blocks a sh*t ton of shots...much more than any other Bruin. He is up there in tops of the league and pretty consistent in doing so.

Give me Mikael Granlund. He is due for a rebound and could be had for great value.

He reminds me a lot of Marcus Johansson in a way. He would be great on the half wall on PP1 to replace Krug's playmaking. He is elite at bringing the puck in the zone. He could play both wings in the middle six and brings a dynamic of high-end skill. He was on pace for 20 goals this year but couldn't seem to find the numbers in the assist department...

I feel like lots of people are shooting him down to being 5-10 but just an FYI he had more hits this year than the remaining two free agents (Dadonov and Hoffman) and only a few shy from Hall and Toffoli in less games.
He's certainly young enough so there's plenty of miles left on him to play. I know nothing about him besides his numbers and they never tell the full story. Tell us more.

If this is it and there are no other additions to the forward core, anyone else feeling these lines?

Marchand-Bergy-Smith
Kase-Krejci-Pasta
JDB-Coyle-Studnicka

Breaking up the perfection line is not ideal, but given the lack of scoring depth and Smith's really good peripherals, this strikes me as the best way to balance out scoring and make sure there's some kind of offensive threat on the ice at any point in time.

I'm not advocating for this, just spitballing.

Okay so while looking him up I found this article. A lot OT but the pictures are poignant. Much respect to him and his wife.

I like it but is Kuraly gone? He's kinda an unsung guy who always leaves it all on the ice. I'm hoping that there's still a place for him over the likes of Lindholm, Kuhlman, and (insert name here). He isn't a "fly-by" master like so many on this team, he gets his nose dirty.

He's certainly young enough so there's plenty of miles left on him to play. I know nothing about him besides his numbers and they never tell the full story. Tell us more.

To summarize things quick, I don't think he was a good fit in Nashville. First, offense just seems to die there for some players. Second, he was battling some home/family issues during his tenure there. Third, I don't think he was exactly utilized correctly. He got minutes and every opportunity to succeed there but if I'm not mistaken, he played the net-front presence on the PP, which I find a little odd. I think he was passable there but in Minnesota he played the half wall where he can find seams and utilize his playmaking ability. Thats one of the reasons why I think his assists number were down.

From what I have seen and heard from fans in Nashville is the guy competes, will go to the dirty areas, has good hockey IQ but is limited by his size and strength. Like what I said, he reminds me a lot of Marcus Johansson in that way.

If you can get him on a contract that pays him as a third liner for short term, I think thats great value because if he can dial it back a few years you're getting a legit top six player. Also, it will leave money to get a player on defense.

I like it. He isn't the sexy pick but he's better than some of what we have here now.

I'm intrigued by Granlund but he's gotta sign a prove-it deal. Could be someone on the decline.

Depends on how good Kase plays on his off wing.

up front we are stacked

we seen marchand/Bergeron/pastrank before and 2 of these guys contend for the league scoring title

we will see debrusk/coyle/smith... style wise debrusk gets his 2 best linemates

Bjork/krejci/kase… is better than most teams have on the 3rd line

Ritchie/kuraly/senshyn... if you dont have faith in these guys look at providence where we have federic/studnicka/kuhlman chomping at the bits

wagner makes Lindholm expendable as the 13th forward.

we are stacked up front...

on defense we need to hope for some development... but we have 4 mill cap room. theres plenty of money to upgrade at the deadline if the kids dont develop

grezlyck/McAvoy deserve a chance to prove themselves before we say they cant do it

moore/carlo… moore hasnt really gotten a chance to play top 4 since we got him... zboril will be around to put pressure on moore and take his job once he is ready

lauzon/miller... when healthy this gives us a really solid 3rd pair.. Clifton can step in if miller goes down... vaakanainen is also ready to start seeing some action

our d... has a couple guys that didnt perform last year due to injuries or other issues, but we got 8 guys here and a kid in providence... and we got 4 mill cap room... we will be fine

rask/halak... we called them the best goaltending duo in hockey last year... they are back now

best line in hockey... best goaltending in hockey... a top dman with Norris potential... three deep centers that can outplay most their opposition.... a new 20 goal winger adding depth to the team... lots to love

the big loss is krug… but we dodged a bullet on his nasty contract.

its sad the chara story is ending on a sour note... but father time ticks on all of us
