Team is tougher with the additions of Smith, Studnicka, Frederic ,Senyshyn and Miller
Isn't that what we wanted ?

Right now with the numbers game/waivers/one-way contracts, do any of the 3 in the bolded even make it? (For the record, I'd like to see all 3 of them and think all 3 could/should play next year). I'm just not convinced they don't lose the numbers game with the forward group as currently constructed. I think with revenues down, teams are going to be awful reluctant to waive and demote guys on one-way contracts and pay them NHL salaries to ply their trade in the AHL.

Frederic probably goes down since he can and be ready as LW/C call up

can’t see them waiving Senyshyn

Studnicka has options

My guess is Frederic, Kuhlman (doesn't need waivers yet), Studnicka and Vaak are sent down to start the year.

They are at 23 right now without Senyshyn. I think they like Zboril more than Senyshyn. So they have 8 D. Do they move out Moore? And if they do, do they replace him with Chara or another LD? If Moore goes and they bring no one else in and roll 7 D, they can carry 14 F and Senyshyn has a spot.

If they roll 8 D, then to me looking at the roster the 13th and final forward spot is between Lindholm and Senyshyn. Me I keep Senyshyn and waive Lindholm. But if I was a betting man, I'd bet Senyshyn has a better chance of clearing waivers than Lindholm. Carrying Lindholm also allows them the flexibility to shift Kuraly to LW at times. And Lindholm has a one-way contact whereas they should be able to get Senyshyn re-signed on a two-way.

And this is all assuming they are done acquiring forwards with no one leaving.

Absolutely. Sweeney will try and save face on the abomination that was the 2015 1st round by giving them one last chance.

And he should, shouldn't he? You never know, one or both might actually be serviceable NHLers. It won't make them good selections in that draft where they were picked, but I have no problem with him trying to get something out of them. They have space and opportunity to do it so why not?

The small issue is production uncertainty

Bruins could use one more proven top 6 winger. I like Debrusk but his lack of details/physicality on offense ... isnt enough. He loses too many board battles. Doesnt fight hard enough around the net to score some ugly ones/tap ins

Providence locker room will be a miserable place if these guys are still down there while the collection of Hummingbirds are playing in Boston

Agree, you slot DeBrusk with Coyle his game has to change, maybe simplified?

Moving fwd what happens with Kase and Ritchie though? Just scratches?

Sweeney would have been better off buying out Backes ... Keeping Axelsson, 1st round pick

Trading Heinen for a 3rd

I think the B"s should look at Duclair now that they need another LW. Hoffman would be rad, too, but I worry about him based on that situation in Ottawa a couple years ago.

Package Bjork + pick/prospect for a defenseman (Schmidt?)

**Keep in mind, the team can afford to wait until the trade deadline to aquire extra help.**

Frederic/Lindholm-Kuraly-Wagner

Duclair wants too much money, he turned down 4M a year already is asking for 5M, no way I give him 5M.

If that is true he's a bigger moron than I originally thought. Rumor is he's representing himself (more proof he's not terribly bright).

Duclair is delusional. I'd say he's worth 2 Million but then again Sweeney just paid a guy who hasn't played for 2 years that contract. I'd give him 3. But he does nothing for this team.

I think people badly underestimate Kase. While he couldn't finish in the playoffs, I thought he was one of our better forwards. Excellent possession, smart 2-way player, slick at times, etc. He did more for me than JDB did, that's for damn sure.

I like Kase and I'd continue to give him top 6 chances. Of all the shit players Sweeney has acquired via UFA and trade to solve our secondary scoring, aside from Coyle he's the guy I like most. So far.

I want the younger guys to play over Kase and Moore
I agree with playing over Moore but not Kase.

He looked good in the playoffs albeit snake bitten. He scored 20 in 17-18 and 20 points in 30 games in 18-19. 24 points in 55 games this past season. Only 6 games with the Bruins. Then 3 months off and Then playoffs.

I would give him a chance to play on Krejci’s wing for an entire season.

I wouldn't give him that. His goal production fell off a cliff after Xmas. He can put up some numbers during the more wide-open early part of the season, but as teams adjust to their own defensive schemes and things tighten up he's very ineffective. Personally I don't think Duclair is an NHL caliber player the same way Ryan Spooner ultimately wasn't an NHL caliber player.
