I think Schneider gives them a lot of options and is going to be a player who holds value because his game isn't tied into translating offense to the NHL.

Cool, kinda the feel I get. Reminds me of Lindgren but to be fair I didn’t know Lindgren before here and he seems to be more mobile.

I was just going to post what a bummer it was we didn't have a 2nd. We could really use one. There are some good players up there still that won't be around at #92OA

I also think the whole worry about guys getting enough minutes - on defense - is overblown. There’s so much special teams play these days. I would bet most or all coaches aren’t too hung up on that.

Schneider is also an older kid who is expected to come along sooner than some are looking at around here.

I would also not rule him out as a guy who takes on a special role on the PowerPlay.

While he isn't going to light the world on fire, don't rule out them looking at him to get the puck on net.

It gives you a lot of downstream flexibility. I like the pick. Braden's my type of guy. I try to think about the choice, and particularly the 3rd because I wholeheartedly believe that this year is the year to get a steal in the later rounds.

But I have a smile on my face. If there is a hits reel of this kid in the dub, somebody please post it up.

I totally agree. I didn't even get into the player himself...more so addressing the complaints about the logjam. But this kid was ranked in the top 15 by most and plays a snarly game. Rangers see him similar to Trouba at the same age, but I would be happy to just add a right-handed Lindgren to this team. And I'm sure plenty of other teams would love to add that as well in the event that we don't have room for him.
