All year we hear “take BPA always”

but then it turns out the Rangers’ BPA is a RHD and we take him and ppl get mad. Take the best players and make the decisions later. We’re stacked all over the place. If Schneider can force himself into the conversation the Rangers will find space for him. Plus trades happen and rosters change so much.

Take the best guys and everything will figure itself out.

I for one can’t wait for Schneider to turn into Parayko 2.0.

Yea these comparisons to Parayko are getting me excited. Even Parayko-lite would be awesome

I think Schneider gives them a lot of options and is going to be a player who holds value because his game isn't tied into translating offense to the NHL.

I also think the whole worry about guys getting enough minutes - on defense - is overblown. There’s so much special teams play these days. I would bet most or all coaches aren’t too hung up on that.

I have playing basketball. Obviously it’s different than playing football or hockey but it really affected me for a while and thankfully it only happened once instead of 3 times like lapierre. The odds aren’t in his favor which is unfortunate but honest

But we didn't lose that series because of compete level they have a much more talented roster then us

They have a more talented team but you can still win a series against a talented team. It's not witchcraft. Carolina lost that next series rather quickly. 5 games? They didn't dominate us to be honest. Two early goals off Hank set the tone. The top guys didn't score nearly as much as a regular season but if you watched Carolina, they used speed, tenacity, and compete to backcheck and take time and space away. Their will to win was impressive. Rangers looked like a deer in the headlights.
