Think a lot of that was just initial overreaction. I wasnt a fan of the pick and still don't get the need but he still is a good dman.

I was just going to post what a bummer it was we didn't have a 2nd. We could really use one. There are some good players up there still that won't be around at #92OA

If they can get a mid 2nd if someone like Khusnutdinov or Jaromir Pytlik is sitting there, that will be golden.

I don't think it'll be offense in the sense that we think of guys like Fox, or ADA, or even Lundqvist.

I imagine him as more of a specalist who can take a shot from the point if a creative mind gets him the puck.

I do not expect him to be attempting end-to-end rushes.

I don’t think he handles the puck well and I don’t think he has a great shot. But for the board, I will give it another look. Obviously I am not rooting against the guy but need to see something I didn’t.

He looks like he could be the type of player teams salivate over. Big, physical, good skater, good shot, good defensive instincts.

Honestly, I’m starting to like this pick, but a good shot and high-end speed (and obviously physicality) are not as important now as they used to be. If you’re sacrificing other attributes for those, not good. However, the combination of those attributes with a high compete level and good defensive instincts is very good
