If the Avs go out and get a legit 3C I’m more than fine with having Jost be the 4C. He’d be more than fine here in that rule, but that doesn’t seem to be what the org wants unfortunately.

I prefer Gourde simply because I'm damn tired of this center bandaid that keeps getting thrown on. Gourde isn't a bargain at market rate 3C... but he's a damn good 3C who can play the 2 role if you need. Would be a godsend right now with Kadri out.

Two legit centers and then Jost/Compher/Newhook in the bottom six. Even if they went for Danault it'd probably result in Kadri being out rather than running with three high level centers.

@dahrougem2's boy J.T. Miller could be interesting if he ends up getting traded. He's someone who can replace Saad and play wing in the top six and then easily slide to center if it's needed. Ideally you just go with MacKinnon, Kadri, and Miller down the middle though.

I mean outside of Danault and Eichel he would be one of the best C’s that are available. I mean we could go after someone like Tierney or White in Ottawa as well.

Need to replace Graves, Bura, and G (don’t care about his contract l, he isn’t make for playoffs).

If this playoffs has prove anything is that we have a top 4 D in Timmy if he’s able to stay healthy. He going up against the Blues and Knights and didn’t even flinch under pressure.

The Avs just need to make little fixes, get a few people who play a physical game and with better hockey IQ.

Try and resign Saad. He actually somewhat showed up in the playoffs. No idea what his term would look like.
Get a gritty 3rd pair LD to replace soft as butter Graves. Big for nothing.
Figure out if Girard is a guy you can win with in the playoffs.
Resign Grubauer 1 yr, 5m. Can't go into next year with a complete question mark in Francouz and whoever.
Look into the optics of acquiring Seth Jones for 2 RD.
Resign Timmins 2 yrs, 1.25m.

This series showed us we got more exposure options then initially thought.

I am more worried about longer term acquisitons, our "2nd liners" Kadri, Donskoi and Bura being pretty useless in these playoffs.
