Kadri wasn't acquired exactly cheaply.and Kadri are showing why they were acquired so cheaply.
Kadri wasn't acquired exactly cheaply.
Burakovsky is a horrible hockey player. He was on a heater last playoffs so people were enamored with him, but he constantly makes plays that are head-scratchers. And he was the one whose moronic hot dog move in game #7 last season brought Dallas back to life.
The Avs still have a second line center problem. Kardi solved it for a year, but it's costing them playoff series' again. They can't exactly sit around and hope Newhook becomes one in the next two-three years.
It was Kadri.
Yup, Timmins emergence is enormous. He’s the biggest positive takeaway from these playoffs.

And got a 3rd (Foudy) back.Cheaper than most Top-6 Cs with term. It was an expiring Barrie and an expendable Kerfoot.
Go and trade for ****ing J.T. Miller. It really seems to have clicked with him. He's never going to be perfect, but when his decision making is good... he's damn good.
The collapse is the worst part about last night. The Avs were the better team for the first time since game 1 and if they play this way for the rest of the series... they have a shot still.
My big issues with this season are the same as others... if they don't end up biting this series (they are), they'll bite later. This team is bandaiding the center position without proper depth... just hoping players step up. There is a continual misevaluation at that position and it costs the team. One injury (or suspension in this case) is enough to sink the series. The Avs not only need to have passable centers, they need to be a strength. Not just strive for okay 3/4Cs, but have elite ones. I hope Sakic sees how much the Kadri loss has hurt this team and fixes this issue going forward.

So glad we didn’t go long term with him.Burakovsky is a horrible hockey player. I assume that you believe that a trade or trades are the best option. What kind of options do believe would be available to Sakic?
nopeRantanen for Patty Kane.
nope
Rantanen for KaneSeriously? Kane is one of the most clutch players in the league and has put up ridiculous numbers on a struggling Chicago team. Kane gets this team a cup.
