Anaheim allows you to live on the beach. I doubt many players have Anaheim on their no trade list. Even if Anacrime itself kinda sucks. Vancouver is a nice city and that alone probably means it isn't on there.

Does anyone care to take a crack at what Kadri's 10 team no trade list looks like?

Is it fair to say Buffalo and Calgary are on it?

  1. Buffalo
  2. Calgary
  3. ?
  4. ?
  5. ?
  6. ?
  7. ?
  8. ?
  9. ?
  10. ?

I'd guess Buffalo might be more of an option as it's close to his beloved Toronto but I think it's safe to assume it would be on the list.

Calgary was revealed to have been on his list a couple of years ago. He said nice things about Calgary once this story was made public.
The Peg.
Probably SJ and Anaheim.

I would guess California isn't on many lists. Even if the team is bad, you're talking about palm trees/nice climate, beaches, etc.

Also there's that thing with strategic selection where players sometimes leave division teams off their lists because they know its unlikely GMs trade within the division and therefore, its a waste.

California also has ungodly taxation, both state and local in the case of virtually every hockey team. Florida and Texas have no state income tax

This. NHL players love Vancouver.

I actually didn't meant to do that.

I'm sure its been mentioned at some point but it feels like Stastny will come cup chasing in Colorado next year on a cheap deal. I feel like we could pencil him into our 3C spot

Very much doubt that door opens again. I feel like if either side was really serious about it, it would’ve happened already.

I think it's different this time. Paul has made his money, is 35, and unlike previous years (Vegas) we are clear cup contenders/favourites for some time to come. I still think there's some mutual attraction there, and it would be fitting for him to end his career in the place it began. Winnipeg is a solid team, but they are still some steps away and the city isn't exactly an attracting force.

Beaches are overrated. Give me a place with snow!

Snow is great once in a while and especially when it's freshly fallen and/or when it's sunny. But pretty soon after everything is grey and ugly and you're dealing with slush and black ice, and you need to go through a 5 minute ritual of dressing and undressing every time you want to leave or enter your house.

Beaches and I can take or leave, but sunlight? Nothing beats a place that gets consistent sunny days.

Nothing tastes better than yellow snow though.

He’s one of my favorite-ever players so I’d be thrilled if he came back and I could dust off the old #26 jersey, but...I’m not getting my hopes up. I think he’s probably re-upping in Winnipeg. Besides, I think the Avs are likely sticking with the center setup they have now going into next year. There just doesn’t look like there’s a ton of interest in rekindling that particular relationship on either side.
