17. Jordan Spence, D - 44.9%
18. Kasper Simontaival, F - 32.1%

3+ months later, I would make it like this...and still very very exceedingly difficult...so many are so close.
BUT, let there be NO mistake, these are some pretty elite or near elite prospects. And yes, a prospect is still
a prospect. Some will not make it or reach their ceiling, but a few *MAY* over achieve and end up being beyond
expectations. I have removed Mikey Anderson. He may technically be a prospect still, but he's in the NHL to stay.
It's not clear how good he will be, but I have removed him.

Every level Madden moves up to, he exceeds expectations, period. And, he only gets better and better.
As Wrobo said, the 165-175 lb comment, no way Madden went from the 160 to 180 wherever that was
posted. He's probably 170 at most now. He may never be 180 and that won't stop him. Nothing is going
to stop him. Clague at 11 is a crime, the way he's playing on the Kings...but DAMN, the list is insane.
So is Thomas at 10.

1. Quinton Byfield, F - 87.1%

Is Cromiak still on anyone's radar?

Seems like the Slovakia team was really trying get him the puck in the offensive zone.

I know a lot of folks have mixed feelings on JQ as a whole, but I think one thing almost all of us can agree on is he's got some absolutely iconic, clean goalie looks, from the classic knight facemask to the special events swag.
I don't think there's much of a resistance to saying he's the best goalie the Kings have had. As far as his current trajectory, sure there's plenty to debate. No one will wear 32 again though.

2 cups, a Conn Smythe, 2 Jennings, 3 all-star games, an ESPY, and 2 Vezina nominations. I realize these were all over the course of only 4 seasons but anyone who calls him anything but a champion is dead to me.

The Crown on Quick's mask is THEE CROWN that should be on a Kings jersey...I am tempted to spend 150, to give that to an artist I use for my biz,
for him to make the Kings next jersey....for 150, given to an artist I have worked with for 5 years, could create a better Kings jersey than has
ever been created. I'm serious. Maybe I will do it, get the release from the artist and send it to the Kings. I'll have them make the crown a little
different. I actually would enjoy dropping 150 to see something amazing of what could be. Oh, and all their work is usually done in 24-48 hours
from the time I give them a project.

He's the best goalie to ever don the crown, no question.

I think Sweden kinda put dibs on the whole three crown thing ...

I don’t think anyone has mixed feelings on Quick. He was the greatest goalie in Kings history; I think some fans want Cal to take the reigns. But we won’t forget 2012 and 2014.

Petersen is good, but I'd put good money on him never being as good as Quick. From 2012 to 2014, he was arguably the best hockey player on the planet. It's such a shame that he didn't win a Vezina. He came in second to Lundqvist for the Vezina and fifth (to Malkin, Stamkos, Lundqvist, and Giroux) for the Hart in 2012. Here were Lundvist's and Quick's stats:

39 wins, 18 losses, 1.97 GAA, .930 SV%, 8 shutouts
35 wins, 21 losses, 1.95 GAA, .929 SV%, 10 shutouts

...but one team was top seed in the East with 226 goals for and 187 goals against, while the other was an 8th seed with 194 goals for and 179 goals against. Forget the Vezina, I think Quick should have won the Hart in 2012, but I digress. We won two cups and that's all that matters. Man, what a special time that was. Sad it's over. Quick's the best.

I’m with you on him being the best player in the league in 2012 and had he played out East he would have been recognised as such. As you say there is a case for him being no1 between 2012 and 2014, but without a doubt he was top 5 and the number 1 goaltender. He played with far more pressure than any other player in the league. The feeling was that his performance would dictate the result every night as our offence could not be relied upon to bail him out. Of course games didn’t always work out that way, but in the build up to every game it was always Quicks play that underpinned everyone’s expectations in a way no other goalie (or player) had to deal with.

He’s played solid this year and is still good enough to share the duties with Peterson and to then play 30 games next year as he hands over the reins.

Sad it's over? Be thankful it actually happened! Lets see if Blake can lead us back.

I think us as Kings fans take the goaltending for granted because between Kelly Hrudey in 1993 and 2008 with Bernier/Quick it was bad. There was the Felix Potvin rebirth but besides that, it was a rotation of washed up or terrible goalies.

This article hints that Kaliyev might play tonight

Kings could have a lot of new faces against the Ducks

Arthur Kaliyev: Until the return of Martin Frk and/or Matt Luff — both are currently on injured reserve and are “getting close to being back,” said McLellan — the Kings will have one open forward spot in their lineup.
It could leave Kaliyev, the 19-year-old former second round pick, in line to make his NHL debut Tuesday night. “He's a much better player now than he was last year at this time,” McLellan said of Kaliyev, who skated with the team’s fourth line in both practices this week.
