Keep his minutes low and shelter him on the PP. I’d play him.
That defense... oof. I hope Arty gets the Ovechtrick. Don't see us having a chance otherwise.
These practice lines at forward are head scratching. The only rationale outside of sheltering prospects is Amadio and Wagner are being showcased for a desperate trade partner.
Iafallo – Kopitar – Kempe
Wagner – Amadio – Carter
Grundstrom – Vilardi – Brown
Moore – Andersson – Kaliyev *
* note: McLellan did not commit to Kaliyev when asked yesterday
Anderson – Doughty
MacDermid – Clague
Maatta – Alt
Petersen (starter)
Quick
I look at this lineup and see very little NHL experience from the following:
Grundstrom
Vilardi
Kaliyev
Anderson
Clague
There are others there that don't have a hell of a lot either. So I guess my question is "Who goes in for Wagner and Amadio"? JAD? Look at that defense T-Mac has to roll out there tonight and it is easier to realize why they are rolling with at least two lines that feature every player having over 100 NHL games of experience. The fourth line has less than 150 combined games. 3rd line has 62 when excluding Brown.
Shit...the goalie has 22 NHL games. Anderson/Clague with 24 combined. Big Mac has less than 100 and is going to be Top 4 tonight hahaha.
Point is that this team has a lot of young guys on it already but it isn't going to be chock full of all the ones we are excited about. That being said, it looks like we are getting to see Kaliyev in only the 9th game of the season: that's pretty awesome. We are going to get to see various cups of coffee from most of our favorite prospects this season but Management isn't in a rush to burn years off of ELCs and will be happy to have these guys develop chemistry down in Ontario. I mean, it is boner-inducing prospect watching to see top prospects all over the scoresheet for the Reign so far.
I’m wondering if the deployment and ice time are logical vs the composition. The Ducks are bad too, but I think the following lines are a better use of talent.
Iafallo Kopitar Kempe
Grundstrom Vilardi Kaliyev
Wagner Andersson Carter
Moore Amadio Brown.
Too much inexperience on the 2nd line with 34 games played vet Grundstrom leading the charge.
Also all 3 aren’t exactly stalwarts in their own zone yet. They could get trapped in their a lot.

They must be showcasing because no one in their right mind would have Amadio and Wagner in the line up
Been paying close attention to Chromiak's numbers over in Slovakia with Dukla Trencin...he has 14 pts in 18 games!Like to see him play in Europe, get stronger...can come over in 3-4 years...he'd be just about ripe!Is Cromiak still on anyone's radar?
Seems like the Slovakia team was really trying get him the puck in the offensive zone.
Didn't Quick win a Jennings?Sad it's over? Be thankful it actually happened! Lets see if Blake can lead us back.

Hopefully more like Fagemo and Bjornfot and less like Kubalik or the Russians.
The King's will rule when the following line is formed - Vilardi between Frk and Kaliyev.
YupI'd love to see it, but they'd have to get O-Zone starts only. That line would be slower than molasses (in today's NHL).
Wags is another Lewis, all speed and brick handsI don't mind Wagner...he has some bite to his game

Kubalik? He's great and wouldn't he look like a gem next to Kopi-Star? Hell he'd have 10-20 goals already! Can Kopi plz have a few linemates that have some talent and skill and know what to do with the puck besides giving it up or shooting into the net or 'tender!Hopefully more like Fagemo and Bjornfot and less like Kubalik or the Russians.
