I think you misheard him. He was talking about getting calls from people in hockey talking about how Doughty looks to be back to being a Norris caliber defenseman. Jim Fox was talking about how Doughty's play has returned to what it once was, he wasn't talking about teams calling to ask about Doughty's availability.

I like Sanheim and Hanifin. Both will be expensive. Both fill a need. Both have size but I would not call them physical. We are up against the contract limit. I would try a 2 for 1 trade. Walker and Kupari. Maybe I over value Kupari though.

That being said, some in the media continue to be obsessed with points even though guys are -14. The amount of hype surrounding the younger guys coming up, completely ignoring their bad defensive play is staggering.

So like 2021 1st + Kupari + 2/3rd? I don’t know, teams stock in falling right now. That 1st could end up top 5. And nobody on Philadelphia impresses me, other than Provorov, minus this year. I think they’re defense prospects got insanely overrated. Maybe I’m wrong.

I’d hold out until they see where they’re drafting.

Kings won’t be able to fall that far. To many real bad teams they already have the lead on. That said, this isn’t the year you start moving 1sts. Especially with so many dmen sitting at the top of this draft.

No. GV is still early in his NHL career. He has the tools to be a key player for us. I like Laine, but not interested if the cost includes Vilardi, Byfield or Turcotte. What I’d be willing to trade for him (Kemp’s + pick), would not be enough.

I wouldn’t trade Kempe straight up... his character is a huge red flag and each game he plays just raises more questions.
