I still think we land another top 6 forward and a LHD before the start of the season. Maybe as a package deal like Johnson+Sergy , Tarasenko+Dunn.
 
Nice trade guys. It’d be exciting if you could string a few more nice moves together and make the competition in the west a bit better. It’s always more fun when there’s good teams in California

It's still risky, but I think it required our 2021 2nd to avoid having to add a prospect. The trade isn't bad. Let's hope Viktor turns it around and plays at the level we know he's capable of.
 
Actually sounds like a perfect winger for Vilard or Byfield. Pair him and Moore together and Vilardi’s speed issues might be negated?

With Byfield he basically plays the Iaffalo role and creates loose pucks/turnovers for the whole line.

I'd expect Blake to be more aggresive with teams up against the cap after the expansion draft. Clearly, they felt they had a protection slot to use up on a better player so they made this trade now.

You also have to account for his coming to the Kings which means he will only get 1/2 the shots.

Clearly, Tampa can't afford Sergachev given all the big money deals they have in place. Just look at Cap Friendly. I think 8oa plus a top prospect and taking on Johnson's contract will get it done.

TB has a luxury of 3 top 4 LHD. Hedman isn’t going anywhere and McDonagh is still a huge piece with a big contract that will be tough to move. Sergachev has played on the right side but I wonder how they’re going to sign him long term.

As crazy as it sounds the Kings might not even have to give up that much.

A 3 year, 15M cap dump is VERY expensive to get rid of. Marleau's 1 year 6M dump cost Toronto a 1st.

Sergachev + Johnson eliminates TB's cap issues in one move.

Or Tampa can just have some of their guys spend time on IR again. That's probably the better move for them.

I love Walker. He is growing into a AMart type player in my mind. But I would add him in a trade for Sergachev. I know earlier some TB fans liked

Turcotte and Walker for Sergachev and Johnson.

8OA and Walker might be an option


Sergachev this offseason would be at the tops of my trade board. He solidifies our D core with size skill, and provides offense and some nasty. He is very young as well. I know TB won’t want to move him but we have enough trade assets to get it done even if it feels like the payment is a kick in the balls

No way man. I seriously think people are way undervaluing the cost of taking on a 3 year 15M cap dump.

As I mentioned previously, 1 year of Marleau at a similar salary costed Toronto a 1st round pick to dump.

Johnson cancels out most of Sergachev''s value if they're traded together. Almost all of it.
