Definitely agree Caufield gets it worse. Though I feel he's been dreadful relative to his peers and skill level.

Though I reiterate, this is such a screwy year with COVID, that much more care should be taken in any analysis.

Kesler is a good comparison with Turcotte. I would use the Toews comparison - not so much skill level, but his style of play and role
I could be sleeping a bit on turcotte offensive upside most of my viewing was early last ncaa season and world juniors.... he always struck me as a guy that was going to out work people to get points, not to say he doesn’t have any skill behind that but his willingness to go into all the tough and battle is what really stands out for me.... he does all the small things right, he seems like the type that the coach will go to in key situations

Paterka has looked really good thus far.

Sabres look to have themselves a solid player going forward.

Yes, and last year drafted Cozens and Ryan Johnson. Not sure about taking Jack Quinn, over Rossi and Perfetti. Askarov may have even been good there, at 8 overall, honestly. Paterka may be better than Quinn.

He’s been great. Wonder if LAK would have gone for Peterka if Buffalo didn’t trade up to get him...

To me Turk is a potential clone of Zach Parise. If the Kings let him play wing and focus on his strengths: forechecking, play in tight, front net presence, speed etc.. he can develop into the next Parise. He'll get 90% of his goals from within 10 feet of the net.

But the plan from what i can tell is the Kings will groom him to stay at center and be a 3C\2C. We'll never see his full offensive potential but rather a better overall 2-way player.

Stutzle seems like he has the least amount of energy he’s had in any game so far this tournament. Doesn’t look like he quite has his normal jump, unfortunately.

Rough tournament for Sweden. An already somewhat thin squad lost a couple important pieces, including coaches and other staff, due to covid.

Björnfot had a good tournament. Got lost a couple of time in the defensive end, to be expected at a junior level. His beautiful skating makes up for it, especially when he finds open ice and takes it end to end.

Simontaival was mostly invisible this game. Competed hard but just struggled to hang on to the puck. I think he was moved off the top line after a while.

He played just a shade over a minute in the third.

Surprised the Czechs are leaving Malik in net. He looks very shaky.

Its weird, cause he has looked real good. Except both goals which leaked through. Then again only the second I’d consider soft, first he just struggled with his speed on that breakaway.

Byfield with the lowest TOI for Team Canada tonight.
He hasn't been much of a factor in either game since his explosion. Can't blame his lack of ice time, his lines have routinely been Canada's least effective.
