Possibly starting to understand why Ottawa could not pass on taking another goalie this year:
stopping 17/20 is typically not all that great a game for a goalie

looks like he is playing behind Kalle Maalahti 29 y.o. L shot D playing the right side as well.Unfortunately the 2nd pair is taking his time as well

Looking for info on some guys who made their debut last season...
Jonathan Davidsson
J.C. Beaudin
What kind of players are they and what kind of NHL future projection do they have?
Thanks!
Only Sens prospect playing today was Victor Lodin with Timra, they won 4-2 Lodin had zero points, his total so far this season is 6gp 1g. Also of note is Jonathan Dahlen plays for Timra and has 12 points in 5 gp.
I don’t think it’s necessarily fair to question Dahlens character... but I don’t think his desire to be an NHLer is as high as some other players. The Sens pointed to Sokolovs decision to stay in Cape Breton when COVID hit, rather than returning to his family in Russia... that’s a kid who wants to play in the NHL - that’s his motivation. It doesn’t make him a better person, but it shows where the priority is. I don’t think Dahlens priority is to play in the NHL, which doesn’t mean anything about who he is as a friend, brother, son, partner, etc... but it isn’t what you’re necessarily looking for in a teammate or a player in your organization.Hopefully playing at a lower level helps him piece together his game. He's a talented goaltender, hasn't figured it out yet though.
Dahlen still in Allsvenskan eh. He has absolutely no desire to become a better player. When teams talk about players with character, this ain't it.

We take it as a given that these kids all desperately want to play in the NHL just because they have the ability to, but some (or even most) just don’t have that drive.
Playing with U20's at that. Not expecting much out of him.stopping 17/20 is typically not all that great a game for a goalie

Not the same whatsoeverI was trying to find that All-Star game campaign video where Nicklas Lidstrom is getting roasted for having a -5 game this one time, so he is clearly a poor player.
Because that's pretty much what you guys are doing.
Who do you predict will play in the WJC?
He's not on the preliminary roster for the November exhibition games. He'll have to really impress over the next month or so.Stutzle, Sanderson and Jarventie.
Do you have a link to their rosters? He's not on the preliminary roster for the November exhibition games. He'll have to really impress over the next month or so.
