Wouldn't consider Lodin an NHL prospect, he's struggling at 21 in the Allsvenskan, to go along with zero track record of looking like an NHL prospect. Took a guy our scout was familiar with for years, doesn't seem to have worked out.

3rd pair, some time on 2nd pp, low minutes overall.

Thomson was drafted a little over a year ago. Defensemen generally take a while to develop and become full time reliable NHL players as it is, and Thomson was obviously a high risk high reward type pick and there is nothing wrong with that.
