So Primeau is our third goalie. Forward group looking really strong so maybe Gibson or Quick is coming.

Quick/Gibson
Campbell/Demko/Stalock
Primeau

Hunter Shepard is really interesting goalie prospect and it is interesting to see where he is going next season. But i dont see a spot for him now after Primeau was added.

With D it is tough. DeKeyser would have been decent add but he declined. Yandle and Goligoski has played once in this event and i think they would have been added already. Adam Fox is probably one who is coming. Forbort and Martinez hopefully too. Josh Manson is still guy who i would like to see but it is hard to say if he is with Canada or not. Christian Wolanin was pretty good with Sens and in this tournament he could probably do much better than many would expect. McDonagh, Johnson and Dumoulin would be great but i dont expect too much from guys who face first round exit.

Skjei-Manson
Forbort-Hughes
Martinez-Fox
Anderson/Wolanin/Pateryn

I wonder if Brady declined, we heard he was asked last week, and his name hasn't been among the rumored that i've seen.

Certainly possible, although I'd be pretty shocked unless he has some type of injury. Tkachuk is pretty diehard USAH, he missed the WJC this year, and the Hughes and Tkachuk kids are basically like siblings, so it's hard to see him pass up on likely playing with both Quinn and Jack for the first time in a meaningful way.

By no means does that mean he's not out, but I wouldn't read too much into the lack of news because it's damn near impossible to get meaningful news on Team USA beyond NHL locker clean out day or when USAH makes roster announcements. There's just little incentive for reporters to try and break stories here, i.e. one of the best hockey players in the world from one of the best covered NHL teams and no one broke the Kane news except USAH (which I'm sure they're thankful for).

If one (or both) of the Eichel,Larkin duo isn't going, how about... Guentzel-DeBrincat-Kane line?
Not sure how many know of this but, DeBrincat* used to be a center and is not that bad face-off taker.

*Before OHL and in his OHL rookie season, mostly though, he played the winger position already there

well, Yandle is on NBC Sports with Keith Jones, guess being an anchor is more important than representing your country...good for him I guess...

He's got to secure that 6 figure annual income once his playing days are done. can't expect him to live the good life on the 50+ million banked in a career. He could buy s food truck and learn to make tacos. I'm in the area 3-4 weeks every winter, I'd stop buy to try some of his tasty tacos.

Some players just couldn't be bothered with the international game.

I hope we can add McDonagh, if Tampa goes out in round one. He's always playing in the playoffs during the World Championships, but that would be a very good add. We need at least one or two top pairing defensemen.

I think USA hockey is waiting to see if some of these series wrap up early. It teams like Tampa and Pittsburgh get bumped there are a slot of quality American players to choose from.

Having a discussion over in the Devils board, how can Hughes be eligible for the team if he doesn't turn 18 till halfway through the tournament? I read that they must be 18 by the time the tournament starts, unless the team has a waiver.
