Is it just me or is there more interest in the WC these days from US fans. Wish I could get enthused however I don't really find it very relevant anymore. To each his own, enjoy.

Sharks on life support. They likely won't offer much help. Joe Pavelski's a UFA and Kevin Labanc's a RFA and likely headed to a pretty good contract. Justin Braun didn't have a great season, but he's a RHD and signed, so he'd be a good option as a 2nd pair guy at most.

with Pittsburgh and Tampa out. If we could just get McDonaugh and Guentzel i'd be ecstatic. I'm not counting on Phil, but would love if he did

Doesn’t Phil always play the WSOP in the summer? I think that goes on at the same time.

I did a little quick math, if Phil played every poker tournament at WSOP it would cost around just under 500k. That’s .006% of his current contract.

Amanda should show her gold medal to him:laugh:

Still mildly annoys me when younger players like Mittelstadt decline the WCs after a sub-par season, minus any lingering injuries.
Casey is the least of our worries, he will come play in this tournament, likely went through some injuries/tough year....if you want to bitch at anyone - start with Trocheck and Yandle who both should be here with zero excuses. Yandle did play for team USA, but it has been years. These guys seem to only play when they :have" to - World Cup or Olympics..

if Brady Tkachuk doesn't play that would be disappointing unless he wants to watch his bro play in the playoffs I guess..

with Eichel and Larkin here, anyone think Matthews would come to if the Leafs get bounced?? that would be the most impressive trio of centers with Generational Jack Hughes we have ever put together at this tournament...

Running list of eligible players, their offer status, whether I'd target them, and their contract status.

You really have to give huge credit for Kane. He doesn't only improve Team US but also the entire competition gets a massive boost. Kane seems to be a really great guy. We can only thank him for coming to Slowakia. Some self decared Canadian Superstars could really learn a esson in Terms of humbleness and sportsmanship from him.
