I would not touch a guy with an achilles injury. I don't care if you recover you really don't ever get to be 100% again. It always swells and hurts on and off when you pressure it. I can only imagine what it would be like in hockey when you are skating and hitting. I never recovered completely from mine despite rehabbing like a maniac. Its just never the same. I'd say its 50/50.
