I really do wonder how much the whole salary cap thing has teams spooked.

That's what I was thinking. League was spending all their time rewriting the rule book AFTER the playoffs rather than figuring out the exact cap number before the freakin draft.

I'm not really sure I fully understand what you're talking about here. I'm not looking to do an examination of what you've passed along, what has panned out, what didn't pan out but is later proven to have been discussed, or whatever. I wasn't talking about that.

What I was saying is simply that if you're in the business of discussing rumors and inside info, people are going to not believe you, think you're making things up, think you're a fraud, etc. And even the professionals who make a living (partially) off of this stuff, people still talk **** about them all the time. And I know this is no business for you, but I'm still surprised to see you upset, knowing "it" comes with the territory.

But anyway, I don't know this needs further input from me.
