We have no control over a deal being finalized. But the names on the block? We’d have to be so incredibly lucky to guess all of those ahead of national media.

I'm not really sure I fully understand what you're talking about here. I'm not looking to do an examination of what you've passed along, what has panned out, what didn't pan out but is later proven to have been discussed, or whatever. I wasn't talking about that.

What I was saying is simply that if you're in the business of discussing rumors and inside info, people are going to not believe you, think you're making things up, think you're a fraud, etc. And even the professionals who make a living (partially) off of this stuff, people still talk shit about them all the time. And I know this is no business for you, but I'm still surprised to see you upset, knowing "it" comes with the territory.

There’s a difference between doubting talks will result and literally questioning the integrity of those who broke news AHEAD of internationally recognized outlets.

I'll tell you this, every article that came out and read through mentioned nearly the EXACT things you were saying. The integrity of the rumors makes no sense. I could understand if there was nothing else close, but the people everyone trusts and takes as gospel said those same thing.

I think I speak for most and we appreciate the insights into the process of making trades in the NHL. Hopefully something pans out here and we can begin talking about having known these things for a few days
