It’s a conditional first. If they miss the playoffs it moves to 2021.

I doubt that pick ends up being a major asset.

If you think that one pick is worth more than Hajek/Howden/Lundkvist...I don’t know what to tell you.
Not saying it’s worth more than them combined but a likely 10-20 pick (and potential to be higher) is more valuable than any of those guys. Vancouver isn’t Tampa bay or Boston, they have some good young players, but could easily miss the playoffs next year and the year after. With some bad injury or lottery luck, that pick in 2021 could be top 5, just like the Duchene trade
 
Frankly, there was no duplicating of types of players in this draft for the Rangers...you got three different types of Dman, none of which mirrors the others, and probably only Robertson, who was great value at 49, is similar to a player currently in the system in Miller. And, the forwards taken resemble no one currently in the system. Plus I see a lot of boom potential.
