Look if you weren’t trying to get a deal done before, at the draft bc you wanted to use the pick, there’s no reason to make a trade

No one is giving Gorton proper value today. They are gonna try to pitch him, hoping he’s itchy to make a deal after a blueballing couple days. Screw that. Just wait to July 1st.

Where in, your limited to teams that pick where you want to get up to and have an interest in trading for him. Come July 1st, every team (sans his 11) with an eye on the playoffs can make an offer for him as a full-season rental for as little as 2.4million or something.

Vesey for nylander or girgensons with some rentention makes sense, but doesn’t need to go down today.

You can tell just like every second day of the draft. Every team wants to get the F out of there and behind their own closed doors

I feel like we hear this every year. 'Next year's draft is a deep one.' Then when it comes, next year's is always better.

I feel like draft expectations really revolve around the top few players. Other than that, it's only time that can tell whether a draft is actually deep or not.

Then sign him. If we can’t get at least a first rounder he’s more valuable to us in a NYR Jersey
 
The NHL draft class podcast guys mentioned Patrick Moynihan a couple of times as someone to watch outside of the main USNTDP guys.
 
I just can’t believe there is so much complaining. We got Kakko for god sakes. Our second round picks were really good and both guys fell. Jones is a high upside pick. I understand the Skinner pick wasn’t great but overall I love our draft. Also I don’t believe in just dumping CK for the hell of it. We should wait until we get a huge offer or see if there is a possibility of an extension.

Hats off to Carolina, took the Rangers 2nd and turned that into Rees and Honka. Get Slepets in the 5th.

no one is complaining I don't think. Just hangry for a high ceiling forward in the mid rounds.
