Sadly, you're probably right. Some team in the 20s is gonna grab Kolyachonok and probably be really happy with him. Never know though, teams can get weird when a prospect is from a country that doesn't have a big track record of producing NHLers, or when they've been "hidden" on a bad team.
Being in London probably really would've thrust him into the spotlight and he likely would've solidified himself as a much higher pick. But who knows, he could still go high anyway, or way lower than he should. I wouldn't even be opposed to the idea of moving up and handful of spots to get him if he's still there at the beginning of the 2nd, depending on the cost.
He's got some rough edges here and there, but all the traits are there to become a Top-3 defenceman. Decent size, really good skating, generally defends smartly using that speed and a good stick, moves the puck nicely and knows when to jump in, not afraid of the physical side of the game, and more offensive upside than the numbers might show, considering the circumstances. So much to like there.
I'm just at a complete loss for trying to project how that ~20-40 range might go and who that might leave for us. But that's one i'd be really hoping for.
