Finland deserved that ! Hank and his entire team underachieved there

I love Hank. Forever.

But I don't think there's ever been a goalie with more "That wasn't his fault" goals against.

And a lot of them REALLY weren't his fault. It's just his style of play.

Be it as it may, congrats to Finland. Kakko continuing to show he is a world class GAMER. Hes 18 frikkin years old people. EIGHTEEN. In about 4 weeks he will be in a blue shirt.

Is this real life?

Henrik said he was going to the World Championships to get a jump start on next season.

The season, of course, ended in despair for the goaltender, who carried the Rangers through an unanticipated strong first half before it all collapsed on him the final two months. The tournament, Lundqvist believes, will point him in the right direction for 2019-20.

“The last time I went, it helped me prepare for the next season,” Lundqvist wrote. “I’d been planning to start skating in May to work on things, no matter what. This will be a more fun way for me to work on my game.”

So much for that idea.

An ok 1st and 2nd for Kakko, but his 3rd period in crunch time was so much fun to watch, he wanted it so bad. Literally nobody can pass him the puck except at the blue line when he's coming in and even that's rare. Then when he's wide open you have players taking garbage shots instead of passing lol.

I’ve said this many times, Hanks has had a tough ride and been fighting it for a long time. He came into his own and was solid in those PO series against Washington and MTL, but for long periods you also haven’t seen the puck hit him.

Those kind of goals have always been the bane of a goalie that plays as deep as Lundqvist does, even when he was on his game.

Yeah basically for a goalie who has relied on his reflexes a lot and playing deep to give himself an extra split second, getting older means your reflexes are gonna let you down more and we're seeing that at this point. It's disappointing but you can't outrun time

What's the point of crapping on Hank right now? What an ungrateful & disloyal bunch are some of you.

You are basically saying that gratitude and loyalty mean more in pro sports than performance. If that’s what you think, I simply disagree.

Henrik isn’t good anymore. I don’t need to pretend that he is because he was at one point the best player at his position in the world. No one is questioning his past or his legacy. He is the best Rangers goalie ever. That doesn’t change the fact that he isn’t aging well.

I think it's that some people seem to be taking a bit of glee in it.
