Hank is getting older.

The cap isn't an issue.

If a kid can't overtake him, that's on the kid; Quinn is clearly willing to ride the hot hand in net.

Not only that, but Hank recommended Georgiev for multiple starts, was the first guy jumping onto the draft lottery congratulations train, and in taking that backseat to the future has proven (insulting to think there was ever a doubt) that he ****ing bleeds blue.

There's a very real chance that one of, if not the, best player in franchise history is going to retire in two years. And he wants to do it a Ranger.

Just enjoy the last few seasons of a legend.

Christ.
New York is a tough place to get old

if hank's plan was to go there to show the rangers he can still be elite with a better defense in front of and therefore they should sign EK, it isn't working
Sweden has been surprisingly bad defensively though, Markström allowed 7 goals last game.

It’s nice to see Kakko have a strong period in a one goal game. That’s the players you want. When the chips are down not when you’re playing a no name team in a 5-0 game

Good work by Kakko's line for sure, just missed on some good chances. Hopefully he can get out htere and tie it up

It helps that Jalonen finally started giving his top line more shifts.

How was that not a trip?

Anyway, Kakko's turned it up but sadly no goals or points. I'm mostly looking for scoring chances and eye test in small samples but it'd be good to score important goals here.

No.

Kakko seems to step up in 3rd periods when Finns need a goal.

Just awesome to watch his work.

Henrik came up big there.

It seems like every time Kakko and a defender go to the boards to retrieve a puck, Kakko comes up with it. He's so damn good at that. Then good luck trying to take it back from Kakko.

Hank was great there not his fault at all. Could have even made the final stop but looks like his own guy was in his way

I love that with a odd man rush and seconds to go Kakko's teammate manages to put a pass into his skates and behind him
