I dunno about that. You see how much AB got...9 mill guaranteed on a 1 year 15 mill contract. That would been terms I would have been able to handle for him to come to the Jets.

Think about how much more lethal we would have been vs the Patriots? I think he would have behaved or Douglass would have shown him the door. I don't know man...a golden opportunity just got by us.

And now with AB in the fold, the ****ing Patriots got themselves gifted with at the very worst another AFC Championship game likely at Foxboro makes me want to puke!.
I just meant that I have him on my fantasy team and he's more valuable now.

Ahhh...gotcha. My brother as well as he drafted AB and he's been bitching and moaning to me how his season was over before it started due to his gamble and taking AB early in the 3rd round

Amazing how his fantasy value has gone thru the roof. If I had a draft tonight for example, I'd have to consider AB after Hopkins and Adams were taken even with Thomas, Julio, JuJu,Tyreek, OBJ and Evans availabl.

All of them btw were taken before Brown in my $$ league. Now tho, I'd seriously consider taking AB 3rd WR overall now that he's on the Patriots which is mostly from the confidence that I have that Belichik and Brady and that whole "Patriot Way" bullshit will keep him in check as you just know he's going to be motivated to ball out and prove everyone wrong. That was one of the main reason I wanted Douglass to take a chance on AB as I know he would have been bigtime motivated to now screw up anymore and would want to prove the world wrong.

Would you have wanted him for the Jets? Or am I on an island with this one and "disastor averted" in that regards too which is what I thought you meant originally.

I'm a Giant fan but the Jets taking a chance on him might not have been the worst move.

Meh....yeah he was a jerk during the bounty gate **** but since than he seems to have “found God” and doesn’t come off like the assclown he used too. You may need to refresh my memory as to why you have such venom about Williams. Other than bounty gate what other major controversies has he been involved in?

When I hear him speak...very articulate, very smart and knows how to motivate his players. I’m thrilled with him as our DC and once Douglass has the off-season, a draft and UFA to prepare for and address needs especially on defense, a Williams led defense will very likely be scary to play against.

Gregg Williams is a f***ing scum bag. He’s a great mind but a garbage-tier human.

Williams has routinely gone after players. He went after Beckham when he was on the Giants a few seasons ago. He’s scum. Williams preaches trying to injure players.

I did hear about that shit years ago HG but past few years I really haven't heard anything negative about Williams. I really think he's changed his ways. You might not believe it seeing you have a stance on him that looks like you won't budge from which is certainly your prerogative.

I on the other hand am looking at him as objectively as possible and sure he's my teams DC and there is a little bias but if I really thought he was a scum bag I'd have no problem saying it. All I really wanted to point out was how articulate and how impressive he is at the podium....that's it.

Hopefully the defense despite alot of holes will respond to the many Williams schemes he has up his sleeve.

You’re going way overboard here man. AB still represents the biggest risk amongst top tier WRs in fantasy. Sure the Pats are a better team than Oakland, but they have a ton of mouths to feed and AB has a new system to learn and a new QB o build chemistry with. The guy is used to getting 150+ targets every year - very small chance that happens in NE. I’m honestly looking to sell high.

I hope your right quite honestly that AB will not be as successful as I suspect he will be and that you are right that it's going to take time for AB to get in sync with Brady and there will be too many other options and that AB won't dominate like I mentioned...I really do.

Unfortunately I saw Moss do what he did in '07 and he came to the Patriots ironically from the Raiders where he pulled similar shit as AB and tanked and obviously wanted out while he was there as he totally mailed it in if you recall. Moss tho goes to New England and "all of a sudden" becomes a model citizen, he stays on the straight and narrow and he has a historic year as he caught what...23 TD's or something like that in what might be one of the greatest seasons a WR has ever had?

I'm not saying AB is going to go that nuts like Moss did but I can easily see him doing things the Patriot way, not creating waves whatsoever and having an enormous season which is something I didn't think he'd do if he remained a Raider. To make it worse as a Jet fan it indirectly effects us seeing I really thought for sure we would be able to win one of the two games we play vs Pats this year. Now that AB is there, I'm not so sure or as confident considering how lethal I anticipate the Patriots offense to be combined with how poor our secondary is going to be.

Here's to hoping you are right Syn and I am wrong as I'd love nothing more than not be right about this. That said, I wouldn't be selling AB so quick if I was you and owned him unless you get a massive return. If you do deal him, please let me know what you got for him as I'd love to know.

That audio (not posting it here because of profanity, not that I give a damn) of him exhorting his team to keep on hitting Gore in the head, even after the play, should have had him banned for life.

I always wondered how much of the Bounty Gate stuff is actually stuff that's somewhat common (or not totally uncommon) across the league. And this isn't to defend Williams or the Saints or anyone. It just felt to me like they were the ones who were caught.

Same thing with the Patriots. They're smarter than most organizations, but when they get caught cheating, I always wonder if a bunch of other teams are doing the same, and it was the Patriots who were caught because they (rightfully) face more scrutiny.

What an AWFUL snap on that Jets kick. Holy crap. Bad snap, terrible hold. Don't blame the kicker on that one.
Which is surprising because Hennessy is good and Edwards has some insane record of holding where everyone he holds for becomes dramatically better than they were before. This kicking situation will kill them this year.

I still don’t get why so many teams wanted this guy when he’s never played and regardless of the reason does nothing but miss kicks

so i guess the jets are just not gonna kick field goals and extra points this game. should inspire confidence going forward. thats shit u see in college ball when u have a shitty kicker who just cant kick.

What a pass deflection by Mosley to save the TD.

Also, what the f*** was Anderson whining about on his roughing the passer call? What a moronic play. The ball was out of Allen's hands a long time before the guy made contact with him.

Offensive line and secondary stink, and Darnold missed Anderson on a duck deep ball in the first half, then he either over threw him or Anderson slipped on the one in the 4th.

Pick 6 and a safety and lose
