Yeah I was in pain trying to watch that game. Every year when NFL returns, I am reminded how ridiculous the commercials are. When it's a shitty game on top of the all the commercials it's a task to sit down and really watch the game.

NFL, it's a tough thing. You want your guys to get reps, but you don't want anyone to get hurt. And it's football, so guys get hurt, A LOT. And it's not like preseason in other sports, where guys can just go 75% or whatever, since almost half of the guys on the team are fighting tooth and nail just for a f***ing practice squad spot in many instances.

So what do you do? Shorten the preseason? I don't think coaches would play the starters more if there were only 2 or 3 preseason games. It just makes it harder to sort out the rest of the guys. I have no answer for what they should do.

Haha guess I was the only one hoping for an old school low scoring game  i thought the Bears defense was nasty last night, and the I think some are underrating the Packers improved D. Trubisky sucks but they were part of it. If the Packers D is top-10 this year (I think it could be) they’re back to being legit contenders.

Damn...I always knew Greg Williams was one of the top defensive minds in the game. But after listening to him again his presser today with reporters, shit, I'd run thru a wall for this guy as he really is impressive.

Finally for the first time in maybe my 45 years living and dying with this team, with Douglass running the front office, Gase handling the offense and Williams leading the defense and what looks very much like a franchise QB in Darnold, the future here in Jetland is as bright as I can ever recall.

It starts Sunday in a MUST win vs Buffalo...Go Jets!

Gregg Williams is a f***ing piece of trash. Great mind, but an absolute garbage human of the lowest kind.

If you run through a wall for him, hopefully he’s on the other side and you roll right into his ACL.

Awful game last night, and I think it proved the importance of the Preseason. I know guys think its dumb and don’t want to play in it, but those offenses did not look ready.

Also a QB like Trubisky needs the reps. He’s got talent, but he hasn’t proven that he can just “turn it on.”
Too many injuries+non-guaranteed contracts and coaches and players agree preseason action isn’t worth it. And the result is a mediocre first few weeks.

I could have told you as soon as it happened that Antonio Brown wouldn't finish the season with the Raiders. Now it looks like he won't even play a down for them. Incredible. Guy's an imbecile, but Raiders management is just as incompetent for letting him get away with this the past few days instead of going public right away and saying that he will be benched until he straightens out and flies right.

Meh....yeah he was a jerk during the bounty gate shit but since than he seems to have “found God” and doesn’t come off like the assclown he used too. You may need to refresh my memory as to why you have such venom about Williams. Other than bounty gate what other major controversies has he been involved in?

When I hear him speak...very articulate, very smart and knows how to motivate his players. I’m thrilled with him as our DC and once Douglass has the off-season, a draft and UFA to prepare for and address needs especially on defense, a Williams led defense will very likely be scary to play against.

Watch AB sign with the Patriots now and have an all-time season.

Nah...with Josh Gordon there, that would be even too much drama for even the hoodie to have to deal with. So no way to the Pats.

A team I can think of that might be a possible AB landing spot would be with the good ole J E T S JETS JETS JETS!

I know he’s a basket case but the thought of Sam throwing him the rock downfield combined with all our other shiny new toys like LevBell, JCrowder.....dang talk about lethal.

Jets would have one of the most potent and dangerous offenses on the league and it would help the defense which is going to get torched this year seeing they’d have the ball more and teams would be playing catch up more allowing DC Williams to come up with more successful schemes seeing opposing offenses would be more predictable.

I dunno. I’ve been thinking about it a lot last hour or so and I really think Douglass should explore bringing AB here to Jetland. You know if it came to be AB did become a Jet, he’d be getting a heavily incentive based contract with contingency’s.

Jets have the veteran presence in the locker room to keep AB in check. Heck even tho Adams is just 23, you know from the way he’s wired, if AB acted up and was f***ing with his locker room, Adams would be right in AB’s face.

I guess I just feel the rewards outweigh the risks as this is a move that could morph the Jets not only into playoff contention but a team that could threaten the Patriots for the division and getting a home playoff game which is huge in the NFL.

We took a chance on LevBell and he’s been a model citizen. Maybe AB knowing this would be his last chance and knowing that he better not f*** with Joe Douglass or Adam Gase or Greg Williams, maybe he’d just concentrate on football.

The risk to me is minimal...he f***s up, you cut him and your right where you should be...one year away from a playoff spot. He behaves tho...you have real shot at going on a magic playoff run.

Hey I may be in the minority but it’s a risk I would take and I’d give AB his last chance to dance....

An email I sent to GM of the Jets Joe Douglass...here goes it.

Dear Joe Douglass:

I know you lurk these parts at HF Boards just to see what we are all thinking as I heard you like hockey. Remember this is Ranger country and so you need to give up your allegiance to them stanky Flyers. No more Claude Giroux or Jacob Voracek BS. You are now a Ranger fan...Kappo Kakko...Artemi Panarin...Adam Fox...

OK back to the point of my short note to you. Just want to say I'm very happy we finally have a competent steward for our god forsaken cursed franchise. You are going to do a great job as our GM...supremely confident of this.

Here's a request from a long time Jet fan from the days of Al Woddall and Clark Gaines saying to PLEASE break out the cell phone and just have a chat with Rosenhaus and see what's up with AB. Not asking for more than that.

When you have the Michael Jordan or Kobi Bryant of WR's available and that's a bigtime need for the team, sure AB may be a head case you still need to at least have a conversation.

Thanks for taking my advice JD...your the man. Let us know how it goes hoss!

Sincerely,

Jet fans who want's to see a Super Bowl before they die!!

Brown with the Pats. Football super team. Best WR on the planet going to play with that team? So much for thinking this could be the year the Patriots fall apart

Meh...I guess my letter to Douglass didn't get to him in time. Of course he has to go to the damn Patriots so that long suffering Jet fans , have to watch Brady to Moss Part Deux. This stinks...it really does.

Edleman, AB and Gordon for Brady to throw too and Sony Michel and James White out of the backfield....jesus....Pats are loaded. Wouldn't suprise me one bit either if around Game 10 or so Gronk gets the itch and he un retire.

Just f***ing ridiculous how Patriots no matter if thing aren't looking good or they are looking somewhat vulnerable, always figure it out. This season is once again all about who is going to play the Patriots in the SB....ugggggg

Pats, right on cue. Have to wonder if this was in the works since AB was traded to Oakland.

I'll take it. Fantasy disaster averted.

I dunno about that. You see how much AB got...9 mill guaranteed on a 1 year 15 mill contract. That would been terms I would have been able to handle for him to come to the Jets.

Think about how much more lethal we would have been vs the Patriots? I think he would have behaved or Douglass would have shown him the door. I don't know man...a golden opportunity just got by us.

And now with AB in the fold, the f***ing Patriots got themselves gifted with at the very worst another AFC Championship game likely at Foxboro makes me want to puke!.
