I've officially convinced myself that in my big $$ fantasy football auction where each of us 12 owners have $200 to spend for the first time since Curtis Martin played for the Jets, I will be spending what ever needs to be spent to have Le'Veon Bell on my roster.

Everything I've seen in training highlights and interviews from the coaches, players and Bell himself leads me to believe he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder and he's going to do whatever needs to be done to prove he was worth the cash the Jets put out to get him.

I think he's going to have a monster season as in double digit TD's and anywhere from 1600-1900 combined yards as he ends up being Darnolds favorite player and insurance policy when he's on the move. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt it as I've been really successful at this fantasy **** over the years having won alot of money and garnered quite a few titles but I have a real strong feeling Bell will be part of alot of championship winning fantasy teams and will be a big reason why the Jets along with the 49ers will be two of the most improved teams in the NFL this season.

So you watch SNY. Any thoughts on what regional coverage is like elsewhere? Every market has an angle.

So you watch SNY. Any thoughts on what regional coverage is like elsewhere? Every market has an angle.

Tho I was born in Brooklyn and raised in Rockland County, NY for the first 35 years of my life, the past 20 years, I've lived about 45 minutes to the north of Philadelphia in the Bucks County area of PA which if you don't know where that is, is about an hour and 45 minutes drive time southwest of Manhattan.

I mention this because I live right in the middle of Eagles country and so there is no SNY here. I do subscribe to the NHL Center Ice Ticket and I watch the Mets on a live stream and the Jets when they play are on at bars that get the NFL ticket. So I do get to watch my teams but there is no SNY here. But I can get inside info on the Jets by going to YouTube and checking out Jets360 or some other NY Jets based sites. If I want to get Rangers info, I simply go to MSG Network for the latest...not hard these days to keep up to date with my teams even tho I'm out of town.

The regional coverage where I am is focused obviously on Philly sport teams and Comcast does a good job with that. If I were a Philly sports fan, I'd be very informed just as NY sports fans are well informed via MSG Network and SNY.

Does that answer your question?

Jones looked great, as good as can be expected. Was that against the Jets 1st or 2nd team defense?

Obviously it's early etc. etc. but he was able to pick his receiver, stare them down with protection, wait, wait for the opening and then zinged it perfectly on time. Now just do that while looking off the defenders and I'll be REALLY impressed.

This was perfect by Jones to get the haters off his back for a while. He wasn't super impressive and that was some of the weakest D i've ever seen but you know if he made any mistakes the media would have been all over him, so this was good for his confidence . Of course , now the idiot media is all "IS thERe a QB coNTroVErsY In nY??"

word is Jets 1st team offense will get a whole quarter. Hope to god Darnold does well, going to be hard since Osemele isn't going to play and neither is Kalil or Bell

When you factor in that the idiot only “self reported” after a test, you then begin to realize that the proper decision was handed down. Giants should cut him since most of his guarantees are void due to this.
You're absolutely right. Self-reporting my ass. If truly legit, then clear anything you put in your body with team doctors PRIOR to ingesting, don't trust the one Dr. who stands to gain the most and claims to have 'given this to plenty of other athletes without any problem'.

Also, GT has got to take some responsibility. Own up to the mistake being not triple checking. Blaming the system and others and claiming 'I didn't know!!!!' is weak, no matter the circumstances.

But PR players see owning up as an admission of guilt and worry about their brand.

something like that. Darnold should prob just sit this one out.

He needs to get his reps but I hear ya. Gase would love to keep him in for at least 1st quarter however if he sees the O-line getting beat badly, you know he'll be taking Sam out but quick.

I'm hoping the CB's don't get roasted and toasted too badly as that it weakest link on the teams

Funny...Jets and Mets both in Atlanta tonight.

Jets still need a kicker in a bad way. Their kicker is not on the roster right now. I love what Douglas has done, though I'm surprised he has not really addressed this problem yet.

How bad are the Giants going to be this year? Is the O Line legitimately improved? Asking as a casual Giants fan who has the #1 pick in my fantasy draft.

As an outside observer I think the Giants o line is improved and that if they start Jones they have a longshot of being a decent team

Eli tips the script though. If he;s the starter, kiss the season goodbye IMO.

LOL @ Bertolet missing two XPs. He's gotta be gone in a couple days.

Not sure what they expected from a kicker who was awful in college four years ago and hasn’t played in the NFL at all. He was 37-56 in college and missed 10 short extra points.

Yeah IDK. IIRC he was good in camp last season before they went with Myers. That's literally the only positive thing I know about him.

I think the NFC East is just not that strong. I think every team has question marks.

Im not a believer in Dak. Who knows if Zeke starts the season or not with the contract situation. Overall they are a good team, but not world beaters.

Philly, Carson Wentz. He has been banged up quite a bit. Who knows how their running game will be. They have RBs who have had past success but will that show up?

Washington, has Alex Smith coming back from a major injury and then they have Dwayne Haskins. Their running game i do like. WRs are decent but nothing to be intimidated by.

All of their defenses id say are right around average.

For the Giants it comes down to the O-Line being as improved as they say and believe, the pass rush, LBers (as usual), and their young secondary stepping up. Their secondary has looked good. They have big boys up front in Lawrence, Tomlinson, and Hill, among others. McIntosh too. Lorenzo Carter has me very excited to see what he does in year 2. But I really worry about their edge rush. It is why I felt Josh Allen was the pick at #6 once they made the decision to keep Eli one more year and with the deeper QB draft class next year.

Bottom line is, a lot is still up in the air.

That is terrible. At least they have some semblance of depth at the position, and a position where decent guys will get cut.

Ahh man that blows chunks. Was so pumped to see Williamson and Mosley playing alongside one another.....argggggg...so dissapointed.

Next man up is? I gotta go look at the depth chart. I know that means that Blake Cashman the 5th rounder from Minnesota who I like quite a bit, likley will make the team and might even play a significant role.

That said, this news about Williamson...just brutal news.

Darnold = future GOAT

Hope your right tho GOAT seems a bit of a stretch.

I'll take Sam being a Top 10 type QB within a few years and be extremely happy with that seeing you can win championships with QB's who have the pedigree of a Darnold.

We'll see how it plays out but signs are that Darnold is the real deal.
