If it's down to Dach and Cozens like the rumors have been past few weeks, I'd take Dach. He's a very intelligent player, credited with one of the higher hockey IQ's in the draft. I think Cozens is a good player, but he's not a very smart player, lots of highlights of him trying to skate at defenders and just losing the puck.

I think Dach has the higher ceiling of the two, but the lower floor just basing on which Dach shows up each game, however that's not super far-fetched for a young player to be inconsistent.

My first choice is Turcotte, but he likely does not make it past 4, same with Byram most likely.

1. Turcotte
2. Byram
3. Dach
4. Zegras

is order I'd prefer Kings to go at 5.

For me:

1. Turcotte
2. Zegras
3. Dach
4. Cozens

If he turns into a stud this post will bite me, but if Byram is on the board at 5 I want LA to trade back.

My expectations are that we will draft a Center at #5 and a D at #22, but like Yanetti said unless someone falls from the top 4 they have 2 players in mind, which means if Byram\Turcotte drops they take him. My guess is they are targeting Dach and Cozens\Zegras.

I may have missed but is there an interview posted somewhere?

I’m thinking that some of these could be a key piece to a trade up at the draft of our 22 OA into the teens or higher to get a shot at a Boldy or Caufeild or a Krebs. We clearly have too many and quantity isn’t going to win games. I sure as hell will not even attend a single game with Tyler Toffoli taking up any ice time. Some of that just can’t be on the roster at the beginning of next year.

Well i doubt ur ll see a game if ur going to follow thru on the claim unless u get lucky and they trade him at deadline. I think a real coach maybe the key in turning him around.

Call me krazy, but I see a faster version of a Mike Richards project. Seems to have great speed (both first step and acceleration). Great vision and character (everything this team lacks). And even though he needs to fill out his 5-10 171 frame, he seems to already know how to get leverage on his peers. Had almost a point per game season last year, but only played half of the year. Anybody seen the kid play?

Avs beat guy, figured this might be of interest for you guys when it comes to Byram.

This is why I confidently said recently that I met with someone as high as u can in the Kings organization and all indications and what was said was that Byram is who they like the most at 5 and would be targeting . I’m pretty sure Management and teams kind of know who teams are picking in the draft from my understanding . So again I will say Byram to Kings at 5 and that will make us much better . Byram Doughty , Anderson , Clague , Durzi lot to be happy about . Great young D to come .

At 22 and 33 they said pure center and pure goal scorer . Didn’t say the order but just what they will be targeting . Before we reached UFA talk they had to leave . Great people even exchanged phone numbers with his son due to the business I am and what I can help him with .

I'm not going to be dissapointed with whoever we pick at 5. It's likely going to be one of Byram/Turcotte/Cozens/Zegras/Dach.

I feel like it's the 22nd OA pick is where I could be dissapointed. I've got my hopes up that someone great falls to us.

I'd be very pleased with Byram, but that makes the 2nd pick more important to draft a forward and at that point I would definitely look to trade up in the mid teens to get Kaliyev or Newhook

Who’s a pure center or goal scorer around 22 that could turn out to be a top 6 player ?

I don't know, but there's guys picked later than 22 ever year who turn out to be good top 6 forwards.

These guys come to mind:

Boeser 23rd
Pastrnak 25th
Konecny 24th
Kapanen 22nd
Kuznetsov 26th
Hayes 24th
Palmieri 26th
M Richards 24th
