They are 5-2-1 in their last 8 with wins over Pittsburgh, Boston, Washington, St. Louis, and LA (OTL to Carolina).

Impressive string of games, especially given the lineup flux.

It's not worth watching the scoreboard right now, 97 points is almost a guaranteed WC, 98 is close to 100% probability.
Take care of your own business, with 32 games left, some teams will get hot, some cold, and the standings will shuffle.

That was always imaginary. A complete fabrication made up by people who have had some random weird bias against him for years.

Jeff Carter does seem like almost an inevitability, but I’m not sure they’re going to want to trade Laughton. He’s steadily improved, & I think they’ll want to add to their forward depth without removing a regular in the process.

So salary-wise I’m not sure how they’ll do it. Certainly LA will have to retain a lot of salary.

The Kings could do better for themselves in a Carter trade. At the same time, i'm not interested in 2 1/2 more seasons of Carter even at 50%.

I think at some point the organization got very fed up with their “lifestyle”. Right or wrong, I do genuinely think that’s what it is. The poon crew was dismantled with time, including Upshall and Lupul.

From a fan perspective I think I always preferred Richards but will admit it was tough at times having to tone down expectations of Richards/Carter when you had Malkin/Crosby carrying their club next door.

I hold no ill will toward either guy, but don’t want to trade assets for 2 more years of a declining player. Let this year ride out how it may, it’s not the time to be spending assets imo.

Booze definitely applies to the menu thread. Im not so sure it applies to the roster thread, but ill definitely allow it regardless.

I rarely peek at the menu thing but don’t see a lot there regarding drinks whenever I do. Maybe I just miss those posts/pages.

Drinks should be allowed in all threads
