No, I never said or implied that. I did imply that COVID was in the US in December, which it most likely was. It’s a certainty that there were other cases and the way hockey players move around the country and through cities that are major airport hubs it’s not a stretch. Plenty of people are asymptomatic with it and are in effect just carriers. Once testing is reliable we will likely see many of us will have had it without even realising and the final death rate will be lower than it is currently.Think about it, your saying Dustin Brown is case 0 in the USA, but none of his teammates come down with it or anyone else in the organization despite it being highly contagious
drafting can be a crapshoot.
So we can’t discuss a player’s strengths and weaknesses unless we ourselves are headed to the HOF?

No one said he is case zero in the country. Many believe the disproportionately low numbers for California are because it went through CA early. I know of several independent people in CA who were sick in November and no one knew what it was--in retrospect it was corona symptoms. Plus, just because you are around it doesn't mean you automatically get it. In fact, very few who are exposed end up demonstrating symptoms. That is the importance of building up population immunity. Brown having had it is a real possibility.
Granted my final point was a little glib, but it is a possibility. Pneumonia for someone as fit and healthy as Brown is unusual. I’m far from certain he had it but it’s possible. Oh, and for the record I think I had it in February not December. For the record, I dont think you had Covid-19 in December, but im going to raise it as a possibility because im bored
There are some working theories that there were several mutations of the virus that have made it more infectious. I have no idea beyond that but it would partly explain geographical differences in how the virus has spread. It's also very strange given Staples center seems to be a convergence for several high-profile cases of the virus on professional teams, yet it didn't spread heavily through any of them.
One thing he mentions that I think we all felt, no matter how much Rangers fans tried to tell us McDonagh was better than Dewey, we all felt that was essentially the Cup Final.
"The Rangers have the advantage everywhere but 1C" is the diet "Can anyone beat the Sharks?" line.
Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder. Refreshed my memory about a thread that existed on how the Rangers had a superior defense than the Kings. The Kings who allowed the fewest goals in the regular season. Who rolled with Drew/Muzzin, Mitchell/Voynov, Martinez/Regher with Matt Greene in reserve. How asinine. Damn, Voynov was a 22 minute a game 2nd pairing defenseman. Dammit.
Rangers fans spent an entire decade complaining that it was all Hank and their defense sucked and they needed some scoring power but they were also somehow individually better than everyone too.
