that ship sailed years ago... He needs a new start and we need that roster spotAny idea what Toffoli's camp is thinking for salary and term? If it's not too crazy then I'd be fine if they kept him. If a team blows your socks off with an offer then fine but I doubt it.
Some of Friedman's thoughts on SN960 today
I think he'll consider all optoins and wait to see what Bouwmeester decides to do. He's got a young family to consider and has had a good career. He might decide to retire. Maybe Armstrong then isn't shopping for a rental. But it will be on his plate, between now and the deadline.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the Kings traded Toffoli and then signed him for two years in the offseason. Win win.I wouldn't want him extended more than 2 years. Money I am more flexible on though.
Keeping him for 2-3 years meaning acquiring zero assets for a guy who isn’t going to thrive in a team that lacks talent. Gel can take that spot, Vilardi could use it for his eventual call up this season or maybe they acquire a replacement in a Marty deal. Holding on to depreciating assets that no longer fit the current teams needs is why we’re in our current position.. It leads to mediocrity and I’ve had enough of that!Need that roster spot for who? Keeping him for 2 or 3 more seasons allows the Kings to be patient with their kids. I suppose they can overpay some UFA, maybe Ladislav Nagy is available?
Still think it's horse**** that people see such a large gap between Pageau and TT that they always suggest a 1st + for Pageau and a mediocre pick + for Toffoli.
I'm confident I'll be proven right.
Could that be why they made it known today that they’d be willing to part with a 1st for a guy with termSo Elliotte Freidman just said on Sportsnet pre game tonight that Carolina offered a deal to LA involving Martinez but LA turned it down because they wanted futures and Carolina not so much. Other teams interested and said Carolina could circle back.
Wonder what junk they offered? So Elliotte Freidman just said on Sportsnet pre game tonight that Carolina offered a deal to LA involving Martinez but LA turned it down because they wanted futures and Carolina not so much. Other teams interested and said Carolina could circle back.

Martinook too.Who do they even have that they'd be 1. willing to part with, and 2. isn't considered a future? TVR? Haula?

I agree, liked to see him stay with the right price.Any idea what Toffoli's camp is thinking for salary and term? If it's not too crazy then I'd be fine if they kept him. If a team blows your socks off with an offer then fine but I doubt it.
