TSN came out with their trade board. Would you guys do a deal around Saad for Kessel? Hawks gain some term for a little extra cap hit in process...
Caggiula-Toews-Kane
DeBrincat-Strome-Kessel
Kubalik-Anisimov-Kahun
Perlini-Kampf-Sikura

Grab Callahan and Frolik as cap dumps, and pick up Connor Brown.

Edit: ****, I forgot to add Saad back in. I guess you don't need Brown in this scenario, and you can just put Saad in that spot.
Had a dream this morning that Stan re-signed Perlini to a 2 year deal. Don't remember the exact cap hit, but it was under 1M.
Nothing about Strome. What about your boy Strome??
No thanks on Kessel for Saad. This team doesn't need more scoring...we have plenty. I am also not interested in UFA names like Dzingel, Nyquist, or Panarin (at least not at the price he will command). We need more Saad and less Kessel. Grab one of Andres Lee or Brock Nelson from the the Isles, sign one of Chiarot or Nemeth and lets see what we have at training camp.
Spezza is certainly welcome on this team if he takes a 1 year deal. I'd like to see him return to Ottawa though.Spezza is old but still > 50% at the dot. What about a one year deal for him at 3C?
Phil and Kaner? Made me instantly think of this post.
I would highly consider making the trade btw.
Why is that Phil’s reaction

I like this..
Add me to the group that doesn't want to move Saad for Kessel.
I don't agree with not bringing in someone like Dzingel, though (obviously depending on money he commands). Any time you can add speed like that, you do it.
So are we valuing a two-way forward that provides second line level offensive production higher than a guy who is an offense-only forward with first line level production?
Not being critical of your statement, this is a philosophical question to the group.
