@ALL the people who were saying Brannstrom's not having a good season.

Did you guys see that period? :thumbu:

There was also someone on the main boards yesterday who was arguing the same thing, I let it go. He'll prove himself, like he's doing today.

I've said all along, Brännström is having a good season, he's just not getting that much ice time and barely any PP time. He'll explode next season when he's put on the PP.

Are you guys genuinely shitting on Vilardi, or just being satirical about some people complaining about Lias' skating while Vilardi was pretty much higher ranked by concensus? Because if it's the former, then that's just ridiculous. The kid has real first line upside, with only moderate improvements to his skating.

Every single shift Middelstadt is making something happen in the offensive zone.
Against Denmark, pretty sure if HFboard Rangers fans form a team we could create some great chances against them.
I like him, but let's wait until the Canada game. The same we should do to Andersson's performance, but we have to be homers considering that he is a Rangers prospect.

These are (not so) subtle cheap shots at the posters who believed there were better players available at 7OA than Lias. Vilardi is the low-hanging fruit, as probably the worst of the three players you could argue the Rangers should've taken without using hindsight (ie. you could make an argument for Suzuki or Liljegren, but no one was really pining for these guys on draft day).

Are there guys on here who wanted Andersson at 7OA on draft day? Because they must of been part of an extreme minority. I'm on board with the kid and I like his game, but he wasn't on my radar that early. I wanted: 1) Vilardi; 2) Tippett, or; 3) trade down a handful of picks and re-evaluate. I hope Lias becomes better than all the guys picked around him, but that doesn't mean I can re-write history.

Guys, can we please leave the Andersson vs Mittelstadt vs Vilardi talk for another thread? This discussion has already come up many, many times before in other threads.

Exactly. This is what I don't like.

I'm rooting for Andersson to be a very good NHL'er more than the players we didn't pick, but the revisionist history is exactly what I disagree with.

I'm in Buffalo, guys! Ready for tomorrow's game between Sweden and the Czech Republic. Anyone else in Buffalo who wants to go out for a drink?

WOW. I raced home from work thinking the Cze/Swe game was on right now only to not be able to find it on TV and find out it's on tomorrow  A day off already after the first game? C'on.

Lias was really trashed by a few posters with the why did we draft a 4th lineer-talk, think 95% of the posters see him for what he is, a player with great intanglibles that quite possibly can grow another notch offensively and become a star or if not will become a player in the JT Miller mold. At 7th overall in a NHL draft the later is definitely OK and the former would be a real jack pot pick. No need to go on mocking Villardi and the likes.

It's a slow news day. But not as slow as Vilardi.
