So much to look forward to in this game. Other than the obvious Lias Andersson vs Filip Chytil matchup. <--I hope they go head to head.

Elias Pettersson is just fun to watch. Looks like he is playing with Nylander. He was talked about so much in the draft thread last season. He has lived up to the hype so far. He has a cold supposedly but I think he is still playing.

Erik Brannstrom was the other Swede who was talk about in length last season in the draft thread. He is paired with Rasmus Dahlin which should make this a super fun pairing to watch. Cant wait to see what these two can do.

Isac Lundestrom is a projected first round pick in this years draft. He hasn't got a ton of praise likely due to the fact that he is in the shadow on some really dynamic players in this years top 10, however if the draft were tomorrow the he would be one of the players potentially available where the Rangers selected.

Filip Zadina is projected in most top 10 lists for the 2018 draft. Some have him as high as 3. I was hoping he would play with Chytil, but looks like he is on the 2nd line with Necas as his C.

Jacob Lauko is also projected as a potential first rounder from the Czech republic.

Projected lines from the WJC Thread

Czech
6 Marek Zachar - 21 Filip Chytil - 27 Ostap Safin
18 Filip Zadina - 8 Martin Necas - 25 Radovan Pavlik
16 Martin Kaut - 22 Kristian Reichel - 20 Jakub Lauko
15 Daniel Kurovsky - 28 Petr Kodytek - 17 Krystof Hrabik
29 Albert Michnac

3 Libor Hajek - 19 Vojtech Budik
11 Filip Kral - 23 Jakub Galvas
7 Radim Salda - 14 Ondrej Vala

30 Josef Korenar
1 Jakub Skarek

Martin Kaut could be a first rounder, Kral is probably a 2-3 rounder, Jakub Skarek probably won't play but he should be the first goalie off the board next year in a weak goalie draft. Another good draft year for the Czech's. They have some other guys not on this roster who should be high picks. If they return all three of Chytil, Necas and Zadina, they might be able to compete for a medal next year.

Montén has not set the lines yet, will experiment some. I am of course biased, but would definitely prefer Nylander with Andersson over Pettersson. Both Nyls and especially Pettersson move the puck fast, they are no puck hogs. But both still want the puck a little too much to be a perfect match. Let’s hope that we will see more of Nyls with Lias today.

wow, I cant watch TSN in my region - any with a good live stream for the sweden game in 1 hour pm me? :)

I made it!

Nobody raves about Lias because he plays in the SHL and unless you put up a PPG there, they think you're a bust. Americans need to realize the SHL isn't some development league

I'm sure some others like myself go off the thought that if they can't produce more with all that ice then how can they translate into scorers here with less ice less time and better competition. That's not saying that they can't it's just more of a general wonderment.

Bigger ice means a different style of hockey. There's less dumping the puck and more building attack from the back. The game is slower because of that. Lias plays on the 2nd line with Frolunda and is almost a PPG since the start of November
