Belarus sucks, but their best player should be drafted this year, Yegor Sharagovich. He scored their only goal today, a shorthanded goal. He's been their best player. He's also putting up really good stats in the KHL for a player his age.

The argument is that he's not playing much, so he's not having a good season. Thats a really short sided viewpoint, in my opinion. I've not seen one person actually outline what he's doing wrong this season other than not seeing much ice time.

He's playing for the defending Champions, so not some nothing team, and they have a lot of veterans who have a lot of clout within the organization. He's also one of the youngest players from the past draft.

I don't think your point is wrong, but if he had 1PPG in juniors, people would be claiming he's having a good season. Since he plays for a really good men's team in a really good league, they use his TOI against him. Now he's playing against his own age group getting a decent amount of ice time, and he's been very good.

I have no doubt what you're saying is correct. I just don't like when people use a performance in one competition to support or condemn conclusions about the player's performance in an unrelated competition.

It's like a footballer having a dreadful domestic campaign, but they pop in a few braces in the Europa League. Different competitions, different levels of competition.

Whatever, as long as our guy does well it's all good. ;)

Not sure if Lias will be given credit for an assist on the first goal.

Solid day for NYR prospects. 3G 1A credited to the pair of Chytil/Andersson.

That first Canada goal was a joke. Puck wasn't over the line when the Canada forward knocked the net off. I don't know how they called that a goal.
