LA should have an assist on the 1st Sweden goal, but for some reason the box score isn't indicating that.

He very clearly passed it to Pettersson who passed it to Dahlin who went back to Pettersson who scored. LA should have the secondary assist in that scenario.

Lias' shot is tremendous. His release is so deceptive, and he gets such crazy velocity on it with seemingly no effort. Great to see.

@ALL the people who were saying Brannstrom's not having a good season.

Did you guys see that period? :thumbu:

There was also someone on the main boards yesterday who was arguing the same thing, I let it go. He'll prove himself, like he's doing today.
I have absolutely no dog in the fight, but I'm curious as to how a player's performance in the WJC is indicative of the type of season he is having in his professional league? I mean you could be having an awful season and then come to the WJC and tear it up, or you could be having a great league season and then do nothing in the WJC. Again, I don't really care--just don't really see what one performance has to do with the other.

The argument is that he's not playing much, so he's not having a good season. Thats a really short sided viewpoint, in my opinion. I've not seen one person actually outline what he's doing wrong this season other than not seeing much ice time.

He's playing for the defending Champions, so not some nothing team, and they have a lot of veterans who have a lot of clout within the organization. He's also one of the youngest players from the past draft.

I don't think your point is wrong, but if he had 1PPG in juniors, people would be claiming he's having a good season. Since he plays for a really good men's team in a really good league, they use his TOI against him. Now he's playing against his own age group getting a decent amount of ice time, and he's been very good.
